Really wanted to replace the plastic lock on joy on controller, but was cheaper to buy this pack with the analogue sticks included. Joycon suffered from the ‘drift’ issue so decided to replace the analogue stock also. Much to our surprise this fixed the issue! Great quality and a great price 👍🏼

Just finished swapping out my old joystick for one of these. The kit had everything I needed, with my shaky hands and low overhead lighting. Extra screws would've been fantastic, but oh well. Taking apart the Joy-Con is very simple if you're following a Youtube video, something anyone without experience should be able to manage. (Don't be like me, sit somewhere with good lighting.) The replacement sticks feel solid and comfortable while installed, and I'm hoping to get plenty of hours of use from them. Enormously cheaper than replacing the entire Joy-Con, less time-consuming and fiddly than contacting Nintendo directly for repairs, and honestly? It was just plain satisfying to fix this myself.

Very good little kit for the price, the replacement stick that I installed isn't perfect, has a very very slight drift to it, but I'm not sure if that's due to the installation of me struggling to get the ribbon cable in or the stick itself. But I'd definitely recommend getting this kit, I sent my Joycon to Nintendo twice to be repaired and each time it returned with 0 changes, they clearly didn't do anything to it as I had to gently pry the battery out.

Really has everything you need to replace a switch joystick. I got this because my joycon had bad drift and I didn't want to buy a new joycon since it's pretty expensive. This is way cheaper and I can also simply buy new joysticks in the future if I get drift on any of my other controllers since I now have all the appropiate kit. The screwdrivers are all the perfect sizes and I (to my surprise) used the tweezers and other tools too and found it a lot easier with the additional stuff. My joycon now works perfectly without drift and hasn't acted up at all. I'm writing this review after over a month of playing with the repaired joystick and there are no problems. If I had to nitpick, I think it'd be even better with some sort of instruction manual on actually replacing the joystick but there are a ton of youtube videos on it so that's not really a problem, it's not too difficult anyway. In conclusion, I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking to replace their joycon and I'm happy with my purchase! ¬On a another note, in case anyone has bought this and is replacing their joystick, when you insert the joystick's ribbon cable into the latch bit, the ribbon cable won't lie flat, this is fine so just leave it at that, you can't push the cable in anymore. It's also a bit fiddly to get the ribbon cable into it's place so using the tweezers here helps immensely.

I had two left hand Joycons with different analogue joystick problems. In one case the joystick had snapped off completely, in the other case the joystick had a bad case of the dreaded 'drift'. New joycons are prohibitively expensive, so my attention was drawn to this solution. There is no guide provided with the kit at all, so you would be on your own were it not for sites like iFixit which have detailed step by step guides to carry out repairs like this. The good news is that this kit really did have all the components needed to swap out the joysticks for the two replacements supplied in the kit. The process was not easy - hence the "easiness" scores provided, but the overall rating reflects my satisfaction with the final results. both joycons are now back up and running without problems. I would not leap to recommend this to someone without some experience of dismantling and repairing modern electronics. The surface mount ribbon cable ZIF sockets are fiddly to work with, and there is a danger, as I experienced of the sprung mounted buttons coming loose and needing to be reattached - once you have found the spring. So in the end - fiddly, but if you are capable of doing the job, this kit has all you will need to effect two repairs. Recommended.

I'm absolutely delighted with this purchase. I replaced the analogue joystick on my completely unusable blue controller this morning, which had terrible drift, and it is as good as new. I am really pleased. Everything you need is in the kit, plus things I didn't use. Obviously the main thing in the pack is the two replacement joysticks, I used the Y and + screwdrivers, the tweezers and the plastic lever to open up the back once I had the screws out. The other things I found useful was a magnifying glass and a table spot light (although your eyes may be better than mine!). The other thing essential is a YouTube video to play as you go along. I used two different videos so I got a different perspective each time - one of the video guides unplug more things, such as the battery (hich you don't need to do), so just go with the easiest step each time. It is a bit scary at first, but now I have done it once, it is really quite simple and I will be able to do it again easily without the need for a YouTube guide. I really recommend this product. Replaced drifting joycons - plenty of you tube videos to show you how to do the job. Was easy enough. Tools came in handy - magnetic screw driver heads helpful. They seems to work one month on hope they keep going! All In all a cost effective repair - Much cheaper than a replacement set!

My first review and my first ever repair of electronics. First of the quality of the kit is surprisingly good for the price. You get 2 joysticks and all tools and some extra on top of that which is value for your buck as they say. The repair is fiddly but I managed to fix 3 joy cons with shaky hands so you can to. (Follow iFixit's YouTube video) I have 1 tiny complaint and that is that one joystick can have a tiny movement "stutter" in the middle if you use the calibrate joystick option of your your switch. This is NOT something you could ever know in any menu or game though but it's worth noting. Other two work perfectly 👍 I will still give the kit 5 stars since I feel that it goes well and beyond the expectations the price sets out in my mind. I want to buy more but I don't have more joy cons to fix.

Funcionan perfectos los Joysticks y con el kit se cambian muy fácil. La primera vez lo haces con miedo pero con el segundo Joycon lo cambias en menos de 5min. Recomiendo mirar un tutorial en YouTube. 100% recomendables

The 2 analog joysticks work great as replacement parts. I installed them in my Nintendo Switch and the controllers do not have the drift problem anymore. The caps are bigger than I thought. They are meant to be put on top of the existing caps as opposed to replace them. The tweezer is of good quality. I wish I could buy the 2 analog sticks without all the other parts for a cheaper price but as a whole package this set of sticks and tools is good value for the price.

Had last van het welbekende joycon-drift probleem, waarbij het pookje een richting op gaat ook als hij niet wordt bewogen. Dit is een fijne set om dat probleem mee te verhelpen, de kwaliteit is prima en alle tools die je nodig hebt zitten erbij. Samen met de guide op iFixit ben je binnen een half uurtje weer voorzien van een goedwerkende Joycon!
