The eagle figure is not too thin; it will not bend with only minimum effort. There are two pins on the back to hold it in place on a shirt, not just one pin, -- so, it will not pull too much on a T-shirt. I wonder if a smaller ring would be better for my eyeglasses. Maybe the smaller the ring, the less likely the glasses would pop out accidently. A jeweler or DIYer could change the ring size with silver solder. (My older one, from a different source -- gotten years ago -- has only one pin on the back -- so, glasses' & its weight may pull too much in one spot and pucker or tear a T-shirt or other thin cloth over time. Also, it is thin enough (delicate, looks great) that it will bend a little over time, with use. A small part of a wing tip broke off, and the ring part had to be repaired. It still looks good. But, I wanted a backup before the old one was no longer useable.)

Didn't hold glasses well
Very disappointed with this item-did not hold my prescription riding glasses well at all; glasses fell right out of it-luckily it was inside and no damage was done, but I don't trust it at all now; if you wear cheap drugstore sunglasses I suppose it would be okay, but if you have really good sunglasses you want to be secure while keeping them handy, I do not recommend this

It stands out nicely on my vest and it didn't bend when I put it on and that says a lot because it's thick leather.
