Hmm Its always a good idea to get a report on your blood test to verify it. You may have a health condition thats diverting the Vit D somewhere it doesnt belong...or is depleting it. If your saying you have very low Vit D even after using any patches for a while (heard can take months for it to "normalize") then i would DEF do some homework on it, theres great youtube vids to educate yourself & involve doc. You DEF dont want to be way too low on Vid D for long, trust me i know the hard way...
