i used one of these 20 years ago made by ideal. it was a good tool but often broke the blade and was hard to adjust correctly. I use this everyday on everything from 3c to 19c . I have yet to have it strip pass the outer jacket and ruin the wire. This tool is made with quality considering its plastic. I purchased this for several of my coworkers who all were impressed with its performance.

I ordered two (2) units of the WEICON Cable Stripper No.4-28H which were received 10/09/2024. If I could score a negative rating value to a product then this trash would receive at the very least -1. Both brand new tools were tested with a variety of conducts and while the conductors are held firmly in place by the tool cable holding mechanism irrespective of the cutting blade settings both tools were barely able to score the insulation, let alone cut a circle in the insulation as per the product demonstration Video's to permit the rapid removal of the insulation. To rule out my own potential incompetence in this regards I gave the two (2) tools to one of my employee's and asked him to try and strip insulation. After several tests he conducted he was unable to remove a single piece of insulation over 5 different cable sizes we attempted to strip. This testing therefore rules out user error as two (2) different people conducted tests and furthermore two (2) brand new tools were used which rules out me being shipped a defective product. I have arrived at the conclusion with complete confidence that this product is a SCAM as the real world results could not be further from the product demonstration Videos which make it look effortless to strip insulation. I have used plenty of hand tools in my lifetime and without hesitation I can honestly say this is complete and utter trash of the highest order and if you looking for insulation stripping tool then don't even waste your money on this product as it does not work as advertised. Be warned!

Did not work as expected, wouldn't open large enough for what I needed.

I use a lot of Hi-Tuff and bought this last year to see if it might make life easier when working with cheaper cable. Not sure why I didn't know about these before then, but it makes life much easier. One small drawback I'd highlight about this particular stripper is the adjustment screw, which protrudes quite a bit and can adjust itself while bouncing about in a leg pocket. I notice that some other brands don't protrude quite so much, but it's a minor niggle.

屋外用LANケーブルの長い外被剥きに使い便利だった。 20センチ程度なら引っこ抜けば良いけど５ｍともなると抜けない。 刃の向きを回して変えてキューっとひっぱり外被に刃が入れば後はケーブルと外被を分けて引っ張ればするする外被が剥けちゃいます。さすがドイツ製ってこともあり作りはしっかりしてます。

Har använt den flera år, men min blev stulen så jag köpte en ny. Det krävs kanske en eller två försök att ställa in djupet på kniven, men när det är gjort så är det snabbt att skala kablar både på längden och tvärs. Använder sällan kroken men den fungerar också bra.
