Dart World Standard Dart Backboard

I bought this to be used as it was intended. I also bought it because it looks nice and seemed to be made well. I was extremely disappointed that the board will not "catch" darts. They bounce off of it like it was made of metal. In fact, it is a very hard piece of plywood. The green covering is not thick enough for the point to stick in so it just bounces off the hardwood sheet. Yes, it will keep the door or wall protected but the bouncing darts can cause other problems. Maybe I am all mixed up but I sort of expect a dartboard backstop to let the darts stick in easily. Otherwise, they become a danger to damage other things (or people). It looks great but it fails for catching darts.

This product is not worth near the price they are asking. I would be happy if I had paid $20 not $70. Nothing wrong with it other than its flimsy construction.

This is the cheapest product I have ever bought from Amazon and the first review I have written. Had to pay $10 to return it and it probably cost them about $3 to make this thing. $70 is an absolute ridiculous price for this product.

I was in need of some wall protection for my dartboard. My dart game is sloppier than the Ukrainian defense in Crimea and my wall had more holes in it than the Maginot Line. It seems as virtually all of Amazon's top suggestions were cheap items made in various commie sweatshops. Now, as a freedom loving American, I refused to give my hard-earned dollars to companies that support the likes of Joseph Stalin and Fidel Castro. To do so would be simply un-American and a slap in the face to all of the men and women that fought for Old Glory. Do you think our boys used Soviet sticks to beat the Red Army in Lake Placid? No they didn't - they used Northland lumber from the beautiful city of St. Paul, Minnesota.This backboard is solid. It comes with hanging brackets and pilot holes to properly attach the dartboard. I knocked off one star because of the fact that theres no stickers or references to being built in the USA. Ideally, I would like a full-page insert of a bald eagle soaring over the Grand Canyon with a single tear falling from its eye, a Winchester rifle in one set of talons, and a bottle of John Daniel's in the other. Dart World really dropped the ball on this one but, what can I say, my expectations might be a little too high. 65 bucks is a small price to pay to support freedom, apple pie, and the Second Amendment.
