Uss Kelvin from Star Trek (1: 1000 scale by Moebius 976) USS Kelvin plastic model kit from Star Trek. It made by Moebius and1: 1000 scale (approx. 27cm/ 10.6in Long). Review: Beautiful model kit - This kit is of the Federation Starship Kelvin which James T. Kirk was born on during a battle. It's somewhat different from the starships we're used to seeing in Star Trek, a much larger saucer section, a larger single warp nacelle and a smaller secondary engineering section. The kit is beautifully engineered and builds up nicely, the nacelle and engineering section are very well supported and the parts seem to just snap into place with a minimum of carving and cement. Note that the saucer segments are marked and intended to be installed in sequence. If you follow the instructions you won't have any problems assembling it. The seams are designed to be hidden, just use a small amount of styrene cement and you'll never notice the seams at all. As an avid Star Trek fan and as an experienced model builder this kit rocks . You'll enjoy building it. Review: Gift - Gift for grandson and he absolutely loves it!

Excellent Quality
Moebius never disappoints - would love to see more Star Trek or, dare I dream, Babylon 5?

It's not prepainted like it says
Looking at the products specifications and information it's not prepainted but it is detailed with panel lines and exposed parts of the starship it's still a good display piece.

โKirk Definitely Out!โ
This model isnโt bad nor good but mediocre. You will need a lot of super glue or cement cause NONE of these parts click in together. The parts are very flimsy, cheap and some parts are very small. Polar lights makes better quality parts than Moebius. I only recommend this if you really like the USS Kelvin and the Star Trek 2009 movie.
