Keep pets and little ones safe
If you have small children or a pet that you want to keep safe and and away from something hot or dangerous then this works great. I first purchased one 35 years ago and it served my family well and it held up great. Unfortunately I gave it away. You can be made where it is straight to block off a room or you can make it into a square. Very well made and in the USA!🇺🇸

Great play yard!
I have the 8 panel play yard. Overall, this is a great play yard. I chose to put mine in a perfect square instead of an Octagon. You lose a little square feet this way, but it works better for our room setup. It also fits perfectly on a 6x6 foam floor tiles:(http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HS5BYVO/ref=od_aui_detailpages02?ie=UTF8&psc=1) The 8 panel square measures 65" x 65" I think the octagon measures 80" x 80" but again the square just worked better for our room. HEIGHT: I was torn between this play yard and the Summer Infant Play Yard, and did a lot of research before going with the North States. They were the exact same size and price so I could not decide. I went with this one because it is a little shorter at 26" inches high verses the Summer Infant which is 30" high. I am very petite so stepping over the 26" is even a little challenging for me! The Summer Infant play yard has a door which was appealing, but everyone kept reviewing that the door was difficult to open, so they would just step over it. I don't think there's anyway I could step over the 30" height. In my opinion, the 26" is the perfect height. FOLDING/PORTABILITY: I wanted this to be portable because I knew I would be using it at a few different locations, it is definitely portable, but takes up a fair amour of space when traveling which is expected. I just kept the box that it came in and always transport it in the box. It took me about 15 minutes to set it up initially, and 6 minutes to fold down. After my second, third, times setting up and folding down I could easily setup in under 1 minute and easily fold down in under 1 minute. I did read a lot of reviews that theirs broke when folding, which you do have to be careful to fold the correct way. After you inspect the gates, you'll be able to see which way it needs to fold. So just observe and make sure that nobody tries to fold it up quickly without understanding the correct way to fold. If you're going on a weekend trip or visiting family I would easily pack this along to bring. If you're going on a quick picnic at the park, I wouldn't mess with it. I would want something more portable such as the Summer Infant pop up portable play pen. It folds up like a lawn chair. I have used that one as well at a friend's home, it is much smaller probably half the size but I think it would also be a nice purchase. COLOR: I was slightly disappointed in the "sand" color. I was hoping it would be more ivory/beige but it has more of an orange tint. Not a deal breaker because either way the cage isn't a very pretty sight, but it is what it is. STURDYNESS: They are lightweight plastic gates, so for the people that said they were "flimsy" weren't exactly lying. But when it's all setup and connected it's as sturdy enough as it needs to be for any baby or toddler. There's no way it would tip over or cave in. I would give it 4.5stars because as much as I love it, my daughter isn't as thrilled. I definitely purchased this too late, she is already 9 months, crawling, and standing up on everything and was used to exploring the entire house before and now she's "confined" in this pen. I think she would enjoy it more if she would have had this since birth. But it's our first baby so we'll be able to keep this for all future kiddos! I purchased it more for traveling to grandparents and to our lake house that is not as baby proof as our home is. It will be somewhat bulky to travel with, but will work great. I was also considering the Summer Infant collapsible play yard but I think the square footage is way too small to be enjoyable. I'm happy with this size!

I'm an engineer, and I give this product a 5/5. Well done!
I bought this to keep my one year old from climbing up onto the kitchen chairs and then standing on them, lol. It works marvelously. Now my child is safe from climbing objects that aren't safe for him. The gate is just high enough that he can't climb over it, even if he fetches something to stand on next to the gate, its still too hard to get over. I also like that there are so many holes for him to look through so he knows what is on the other side and doesn't worry that he can't see who "disappears" when they cross it. The gate is wonderfully stable, and I suggest that you arrange it in an octagon-like shape, not a star. You want angles at every point, don't leave two panels straight or that section will be a little floppy and less stable. But an octagon gives you the most space inside. Also, EXPERIMENT WITH REVERSING the gate. I found out that the joints can be reversible, so that you can make the same octagon by reversing all the joints. In one orientation, the panels are all bowed (slightly curved). In the reverse orientation, the panels are all straight and don't bow at all. I think you want it this way - when they're straight with no bowing. It felt better, more like it was engineered to be. Also, the included pads are nice if you're using this indoors on vinyl or similarly smooth flooring. Stick two of them onto the bottom of each panel, near to the joints, and when you put the thing up it will feel like it sticks to the floor and doesn't slide around at all. Very nice touch that they thought of this. Don't be afraid of the loud popping noises when you open/close the joints. Just push/pull it with a lot of strength and it will be fine. It helps if the top joint and bottom joint are the same exact angle; sometimes its easy to have them slightly not lined up, ensure they line up to maximize joint strength. All in all, worth every penny and will probably last for years.

Decent
Gate is a lot taller than I thought it would be, which is good and bad. I find it hard to step over but I’m 5’5. It was really confusing at first in which direction to get it to fold up into I kept feeling like I was breaking it but I figured out the easiest way is just to remove one of the gates, which at least the removal part is easy. I kind of wish they had printed colors or arrows on the gate themselves. overall it is sturdy and collapsible. It works well for my foster Pupppys, and for keeping my dog out of certain areas.

Kids need this
Ages 0-4 need a playpen. It develops independent playtime and allows a parent to have a break without pulling out the tablet, tv or screen. Just put some books and cool toys in and let them have quiet time! The boundary of it helps them feel safe.

Great for a multitude of uses!
These gates are great; they have a multitude of practical uses. I’ve used them for my dogs while camping and most recently for raising ducklings in my garage during a tough winter. I put a piece of cheap linoleum down, slapped the panels on it, added some wood shavings and shazam, a duck habitat! The panels are of good construction. They are easily positioned and they stay firmly in place. This is my second set. They connect to my initial set for an even larger enclosure. Highly recommended.

I love it, but
It feels like you are going to break it when you’re folding and unfolding it. My husband doesn’t even want to set it up because he’s afraid he’s going to break it. Otherwise it seems sturdy. No idea how to get the section my kids pulled off to go back together with the rest. Changing my rating to five because this is a game changer outdoors. I figured out that just because it feels rich when you try to open it, HOPEFULLY just means it’s sturdy. I hate packnplays because they are so small and restricting. This gives her SO much room to play, and once sloppy season is over and the grass is green I can set it up in the grass for her to play while I garden and the big kids run around. Might even get one of the smaller ones to add to this one and make the space bigger (NOT AN OPTION WITH A PACKNPLAY!) Love love love this. Hopefully it holds up and is as sturdy as all the reviews say it is.

Very hard to separate and to close
The panels on this play yard are very stiff and hard to separate and close back up again, which I need to do often because I’m too short to bend over these panels and pick up a child who is lying on the floor. Had to wear thick gloves to keep from hurting my hands. Returned it and got the Evenflo version, which didn’t come in the beige color I liked but is much easier to open and seems just as sturdy, at least in the hexagon configuration.

Me encanta
Compré esto para poner el área de juego de mi bebé y evitar que el perro se coma los juguetes. Es bastante grande y fácil de armar. Me encantó.
