Great manual treadmill
Iโve had this treadmill for almost a year now, so I feel I can give a good report of my experience with it. Pros: * Because this treadmill is manual, There is no motor to burn out. My previous treadmill died quickly and we learned that a lot of folding treadmill motors burn out easily. * This gives me a very good workout. Since the treadmill is at a constant incline, the workout is much difficult than a normal treadmill. Iโm usually very sweaty around the 15/20 minute mark. To be frank, it kicks my butt. * Since this treadmill folds, it has a very small footprint. I live in a very small house and canโt have a dedicated space for a large treadmill. This folds up easily and fits into my corner so that itโs out of the way. It takes me seconds to set up. Cons: * Since you use your own momentum and body weight to propel your self forward- you cannot let go of the sidebars as it will increase the speed exponentially. This has given me back pain and doesnโt give me the level of freedom I want. I bought an exercise belt with clips that I can clip onto the metal bar in front of me to hold me In so I can let go of the bars. This has also reduced my back pain! * The screen is pretty meh. I donโt use it at all to be honest. I found many times that it would not have reset properly between sessions, even with me clearing it. When I have the lights off (while watching TV) I cannot see it at all. This isnโt a huge deal for me since I donโt use it much. Overall, I love this thing. Itโs a good workout in my bedroom that doesnโt take up a lot of space. With a few tweaks it is exactly as I want it to be!

If it's too fast, tighten the running belt!
I've noticed many people comment on how it's too fast because of the incline and how it's unfortunate that you have to hold on to the handle bars. I had the same problem until I tightened the running belt with the Allen wrench included with the treadmill. Now I can work at my standing desk, no propping the back on books or cardboard to adjust the incline required. And then if you want to go faster again, all you have to do is loosen the belt. It's not difficult! PS: I love how it's manual and I can fold it up and move it around the house easily, plus store it upright which is great from my small house. Not too loud, either. Seems to be good quality. I trust it much more than one of those cheap-seeming walk pads.

Does the job, but needs tweaks
I bought this because I work a graveyard shift desk job and getting to the gym is difficult with my sleep being so weird. First of all, it was pretty easy to put together myself and the fact that you can choose to have Amazon deliver to your room of choice meant no heavy lifting for me to my 3rd floor apartment. I just finished my first workout on this machine and here are my thoughts: Yes, if you are looking for something simple to get your steps in this will do the job. I burned 489 calories doing a 50 minute walk/5154 steps. However, I had to make some adjustments to this machine. The stationary incline on this treadmill is at an impractical angle, especially if you work out with a heart monitor that tracks your steps. The incline is too steep and causes the track to move incredibly fast so you end up spending most of your time holding onto the bars for dear life. Because you can't move your arms as you walk your heart moniter is unable to track your steps. I also noticed it's difficult to maintain a comfortable standing position with this incline. I had to lean way forward with my hand and elbows resting on the very front of the support bar to get a good walking rhythm. The solution: I took a few hefty books and stacked them underneath to level the angle of the incline. I left only a slight angle so I could still get some resistance and have enough traction for the the track to move smoothly. Doing this I was able to walk in a natural position and move one arm while holding on to a support bar with the other. I was able to track my steps and get a proper workout. The only other con to this machine is that I noticed the track seems to want to move towards one side of the machine a lot and I'm not quite sure how to center it. Hopefully it will hold up with time so I can start getting my steps in regularly.

Donโt buy this spend the extra 200 on an electronic treadmill.
The Incline is higher than I thought and due to the incline makes it hard for me to go at a comfortable pace I want. As soon as I step on it and wanting to just walk comfortably Iโm already going a speed walk pace before I can even get my second foot on down on the treadmill. If you also like to walk or run hands free, the incline makes it impossible to do so. I canโt go for a comfortable paced jog because as soon as I try to go from a walk to a jog and take my hands off the handles Iโm running at full speed feeling like Iโm going to fall. Also the distance option on my computer thing (the building instructions called it a computer tool number 8) the thing that keeps track of your speed and calories burned, doesnโt work. The other modes work but no matter how long Iโm on it the distance stays at 0.0. It was easy to assemble although can look overwhelming from the instructions Manuel because they break down every tool including the base platform and every item that was used to assemble it. Thankfully it comes already assembled and all you have to do is add the wheel covers, the bars to support the handle bar and the computer. So it ended up being very simple and easy. I donโt understand why they need to add all the unnecessary extra stuff in that manual. Itโs just confusing to look at. If thereโs a way for me to return it would and spend an extra 200 dollars on an electrical one I originally thought about getting instead of this. This was just so much more cost effective I thought this would make more sense but now I know why itโs so cheap compared to other treadmills Also itโs not easy to fold. It has a lock screw that takes forever to unscrew and screw making it a tedious task if you planned on folding it constantly after you were done using it every day. Upon further notice it appears I might have a defective treadmill. I noticed this liquid randomly and I never used or even opened the lubricant that is provided in the box. Iโm having this item returned one day after It was delivered and will definitely spend extra for a different brand/electric model.

Great quality!
When the equipment arrived, I did not expect it to be quite so big or heavy! (I hope the UPS person did not have a hernia after delivering it..) It arrived a day earlier than expected. The packaging, instructions and equipment were excellent-once I got it into the house (be forewarned, it is not small or light but it can be managed by one person if you live in a one floor house or apartment) and unwrapped it from its very study packaging, I was pleased to see the instructions were in not only English but 4 other languages as well. The instructions were clear, precise and I did appreciate that the tools for the set up of the treadmill were included as well! The tools and assorted pieces of hardware were well packaged and marked-it took me about an hour by myself to assemble it. I will admit that if a buyer does put it together to have help. Being alone I had no choice and the only difficulty I really had in assembling it was in lifting up the actual board to line it up with screw holes to fasten it onto. Otherwise the assembly process went smoothly. Also, even with the tools provided, I used a socket wrench just to make sure the bolts were on tightly enough. I have worked out at least once on the treadmill, and have found it to be challenging but not difficult to stay on or to keep it moving-the board does have 'step off' spaces for one to use to stop the machine once you want to stop exercising. I will be using it in conjunction with my previous purchase of a second hand Sunny exercise bike to get a proper workout. All in all, this is an excellently made product and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a serious workout to buy it. There is a weight limitation for it, but I found that being small and under the weight listed worked out well for me. Also that it is not dependent on electricity is an excellent selling point. One should not have to pay the light company for the exercise you get on it. One small quibble I would have is that the electronic clock/stopwatch should have a back light to read it by while using the equipment. I clipped on a portable light to read it with as a solution. Otherwise, it an excellent purchase, well worth the time, effort and money to put it together and use. I consider it to be worth every penny it cost and that the Sunny company is an excellent equipment manufacturer-they take the time to put together a well-crafted product that will last a lifetime.

Unsafe stride for some users. Questionable weight limits for smooth belt movement.
Structurally, its fine. At best, serviable under the correct conditions. I purchased this for my wife who lives with MS, and weighs less than the stated treadmill capacity, but she still has a very hard time maintaining a consistent, smooth, and safe stride on this treadmill. Fully manual treadmill, there is little to no resistance except friction between the belt and deck. As the 300 lb frame I am, I was able to climb onto the treadmill and it was stable, surprisingly sturdy ... didn't buckle, or bend under my weight and the handles were able to support me as I leaned on them. My stride length is considerably longer then my wife, and I had no issues taking a full stride... when the belt wasn't sticking. That's the problem we are experiencing. Yes Personally, I exceed the stated weight limit of the device.. my wife.. half my weight, does not. She steps up onto the belt and her first steps were jarring, uneven and more off balance then she normally is on a good day. As her heel touches down onto the belt and pressure is applied to that point on the deck, the belt sticks, forcing her to shift her body weight and balance to take the next step which makes it significantly harder on her to be able to use it as it throws off her already delicate sense of balance. I used most of the oil that came with the treadmill appling the initial to the oiling the belt deck. I shouldn't have to use a whole bottle of Astroglide a belt-deck for a woman half my weight and well under the stated capacity for the treadmill. I think the treadmill would be a great value for someone who needs just an easy storage walking pad. It does fold up completely vertical, and fits into a closet. I'd like it if the transport wheels were a little larger and a softer resin vs hard plastic, but they are mostly functional on hardwood floors. On carpet, just expect to drag it across to where you need it. The rollers aren't going to help. Belt noise isn't loud, but is annoying since its the sound of the belt just rubbing down the deck. Assembly wasn't terrible, but definitely would be easier with two people when it comes time to connect the walking assembly to the stand for proper alignment. For less than $200 its fine. If you're already a healthy weight just looking for a walker, this might work. Just heads up witht how the belt sticks. I'm hoping when the oil evenly distributes, it will resolve itself ... but I know better than that.

Absolutely amazing for weight loss! Be careful if for therapy reasons (see review 2nd paragraph)...
I've only had this treadmill for two days and I fell in love with it after the first 20 minutes! I take my dog on a walk frequently, but those are leisure walks and I needed something more to burn off the calories. I do home yoga and light weight lifting, but still needed something more and this was perfect! Any who are interested in using this for therapy reasons should not buy. Under the safety info., number 10 states "The equipment is not suitable for therapeutic use". Because of the incline, I can see why it might be difficult. But it's great for an easy workout. After reading the reviews, I found a solution for any who were concerned about falling off. They sell treadmill waist safety bands. But if you have any resistance bands, I took my 50, 40 and 30 pound bands and used the straps it came with to create a safety band. I wouldn't recommend only using one band. It works amazingly and I'm able to use my arms freely and walk at a much better pace. I'm able to use my fitness watch and hit my goal of 5,000 steps in about 40-60 minutes depending on my speed. This treadmill is in my bedroom. I am one the second floor and I could've have scooted/pushed the treadmill upstairs if necessary but I did have help in carrying it. It may be a little heavy for some. Assembly was super easy, basically there's only 4 steps. I did not have assistance with it. I did use my own tools. I would put aside an hour to set it up, make sure it goes together, it fits in the spot, etc., but that was me leisurely putting it together. Make sure you line up the left and right because I accidentally didn't and that what added the extra time for me. But if you're great at instructions the first time, you can very easily assemble this in 15-20 minutes. It collapses very nicely, just have to remove a lock screw from the bottom and put it on top. I keep the treadmill at the foot of my bed and then move it out and put it front of my tv. I have small recliner right behind me and a couple inches in front. Not necessarily a tight fit, which was one of the selling points for me and the limited space in my bedroom. To make the treadmill more enjoyable, I'll either put on a treadmill/walk/hike on my TV (which has YouTube on it) and walk the amount of time of the video or put on a 45 minute TV show and then a 15 minute trail walk so I get about an hour workout a day. It's absolutely amazing how much of a decent sweat you get. I wish my TV was a little higher, but nothing I can do about that lol. I absolutely would recommend this product to any who are looking to lose weight or at least use it to keep from gaining any more. It's amazing, compact and easy to use and put away. Definitely a great buy!

You decide your pace on this machine
The assembly was a little bit tedious, and yes, 2 persons are needed for the job. Step 1 was tedious because the spanner could only turn the screws a little bit each time. Step 2 - joining the vertical supports to the base was slightly confusing until we figured out that we needed to lift the base. Step 3 - not included ! Step 4 - had to be a little bit more careful not to damage the computer sensor wiring of the handle bar when attaching it to the vertical supports. In general, instructions were clear, and tools and screws are provided. The base was already oiled for me, so I did not need to do that step again. The moving belt responds to my walking motion, and I can stop anytime, but beware, sudden stop is not safe, as you can lose your balance. Big strides also not so suitable because the feet can hit the end of the belt behind you. I think I need to adjust my walking pace and stride length in order to use this equipment safely and efficiently. I think I will do a gentle short walking session for the time being. Quite happy with my purchase.

Durable frame, Simple and easy to use
Small but terrible for losing weight and for maintaining a good body shape. I like the fixed inclined, really good for walking and for jogging as well

Well worth the investment
I was looking for a smaller treadmill and considered buying a "walking" treadmill that are popular now for people to use at their desks. That wasn't my situation. I had a small space for a treadmill in my spare bedroom. This Sunny treadmill is great. I like that it is manual (no need to plug in or use close to a wall). That feature actually gives a better workout, as you have to use your own effort to get/keep the treadmill moving. In fact, it took me a while to increase my time as it took much more effort than simply walking. Because there is no motor, the treadmill tilts downward at a pretty steep angle (for a 77 year old), so I put a couple of tins of tuna at the end of the back supports; this reduced the angle and did not diminish its operation. It was easy to assemble, with the step by step directions, although I did not bother attaching the speedometer, as my interest was merely walking without all the statistics. This is great value for this price (~$200), and I encourage anyone (particularly seniors who live in cold/icy winter climates) who wants an in-door option for exercise/walking, to consider this product.
