BEST EVER
If I could give this umbrella TEN STARS, I would. It's definitely the best I've ever owned and I'm writing this review several years after my purchase. This thing will endure all but the strongest gusts of wind with no problems. Even on the rare occasion that it flips, it has always gone right back into place with no visible or functional damage. It's very large, so it will work for two people or give full complete coverage to one in most conditions (obviously when the rain is coming down at a sharp angle your legs will get wet). You definitely have to sacrifice in terms of portability to get such a high quality umbrella, but I can actually fit this into some of my larger handbags. The only possible negative is that it's too big for super crowded streets. However, I rarely have a problem in Philadelphia, so most people should be perfectly fine. I stand away from the crowd at the busiest bus stops or whatever, but I can still easily pass people on the sidewalk just by moving aside or tilting it slightly for a moment.

Make Others Jealous.
Be warned, as you walk outside into the pouring rain, and click the button with your thumb to effortlessly release your compact umbrella into a James Bond-esk canopy to release enough cover for you, your bag, and the beautiful girl from class, you may be pined with envy.Seriously though, I love this umbrella. I've had it since 2014 (wrote this 12/16) The opening and closing acton is so satisfyingly smooth. It's compact yet huge. Invincible to wind and a total steal for price.I love this umbrella so much that I've taken it to Europe twice, Mexico 3 times, all over the US, and survived daily use for two monsoon seasons in Arizona!Edit 4/4/19: add bouncing around the trunk, two months in Asia, two months in Guatemala, hail, snow, rain, 50mph pelting rain at 10,000 feet on a volcano, backpacking, checked bags, dive boats, a light gnawing by a pomeranian, and used as a club in a back alley skirmish... yet it still opens flawlessly.Best umbrella ever.

Monster!
Great umbrella, seems like really good quality. ... but man is it huge and heavy. It doesn't fit in my big laptop backpack... It's just over 20 inches long when folded up. It's probably 4-5 times heavier than my other folding umbrella. When opened, the size is great. Not quite the super-huge umbrella, just full-sized. I really like it, but I do wish it fit in my backpack when folded...

IT WORKS
I am loving this umbrella! I live in Philadelphia, where you get a nice little (sarcasm here) wind tunnel effect between buildings. So pretty much any time you get rain, you also have wind. So far this baby has held up through rain and wind. And it's plenty big enough to keep me and my backpack covered. The vent really does help in keeping the wind from grabbing the underside of the umbrella, and also makes it easier to manage in the wind, since you're not fighting your umbrella while trying to hold it at an angle that will protect you from the rain. It did invert once in a huge gust of wind, but I pointed it into the wind, and the wind blew it right back into shape. It seems to have suffered no ill effects; nothing broke, or even loosened up.

Awesome umbrellas
Had my first set stolen from me. Had to reorder two more. Great customer service from Amazon. The umbrellas themselves are amazing. I had the same exact umbrella for over 10 years. I left it behind and it was gone. I'm very happy with the newer models. They feel just as good as my old one. They haven't changed on quality. The secondary flap is extremely useful for those very windy days.I'm a big guy. 6'4" 290 lbs and I'm able to stay dry under this. It opens to a great size. But still fits inside my backpack.

I really like the oversized hugeness of this golf-sized umbrella
I really like the oversized hugeness of this golf-sized umbrella. The telescoping handle makes it compact enough to fit into my shoulderbag. After about two years of use, some of the thin thread holdfasts on the outer shade broke, which just meant that the material billowed out a bit over the handle when collapsed--not a huge deal. A pin in one of the arms also came out, so that arm didn't quite extend all the way. I fixed that with a paperclip. Finally, after three-and-a-half years, the button & spring mechanism wore out and the handle will no longer reliably stay on the collapsed position. I just wrapped it up with a velcro tie to keep it closed, put it in the trunk of the car for emergencies, and bought a new one for me!

Probably the best umbrella I ever had
Probably the best umbrella I ever had. And this is coming from a student New Yorker. It keeps two people comfortably. Can fit three if you try.We have terestrial downpours and winds that you can barely walk against on the regular. Cheap umbrellas are literally one time use in these conditions if they even last that one time. It gets beaten up at the side of my backpack constantly, and yet it still worked flawlessly for two years straight. I did not need to care about it because it simply worked. I stored it while wet for whole days straight. Finally it has met it's end when the telescoping handle stopped extending because it rusted. The canvas could still be extended and you can still cover yourself from rain just as well, but you have to hold it up tall. The warranty process is straightforward. Just sent two tags and some information with $5 for shipping and got a brand new umbrella two weeks later no questions asked. Well done totes! You've earned a loyal customer.

Fantastic value, sturdy, generously-sized
This is a fantastic umbrella. The vents keep it from blowing inside out, it's extremely spacious, and is surprisingly sturdy for the price. Note that it REALLY IS golf size - and folded up, it's still too big for a purse. But I still love it, and have now bought two.
