Nothing difficult about this review. I'll be 33 in a few days and am tired of results of eating and drinking too much. 6'0, 220 lbs. My goal was to add rope a daily routine and this seemed like a high-quality product at a good price (though I don't know the market for ropes that have handles on them). 1. Shipping - I had UPS notices on my apartment door days before I expected them. The rope arrived faster than I expected, even as a Prime member. 2. Description - Item arrived new in box with no defects, packaged appropriately. I like the look. Though I did not manipulate the length of the rope, it looks like it'd be very easy to pop the tops off the handles, feed the rope through, and tie off wherever you need. The leather rope is lightweight but has no response issues and has that classic sound. Bearings in the handles seem to be fine. A high quality product and easy to use at home.

First leather jump rope. New to jumping rope and found it is a easy way to get your heart rate up for a quick, easy workout. Not much prep or room needed. I have a heavy braided rope, a metal cable speed rope, a vinyl speed rope and the leather jump rope. They all are different as far as feel and speed. Didn’t know there was so much difference in types,speed and behaviors, Lol! Got the leather because traditionally boxers use them. Great product and awesome price!! First timers, here’s some tips. The rope should be conditioned to make it supple and keep it from drying out. I used mink oil applied with a rag. After several applications over several days it is darkening and the rope has a little more weight to it now. After one more treatment, once or twice a month should do it for maintenance. Also hang the rope up in the middle, do not coil it up and tie it. Start slow and work on technique and speed and proficiency will come, never thought I’d be jumping rope-love it! Highly recommend, going to buy another. Overall the leather is my favorite.

Great rope for the price. Excellent quality leather and great craftsmanship. The handles are very comfortable and the rope is easy to adjust. As stated in other reviews this rope is meant for medium speed workouts. If you are looking for a speed rope you may unnecessarily tire yourself out using this one. However, as recommended by the company if you oil the leather it will increase its weight; therefore, increasing the maximum speed of the rope. I had one small problem with the bottom cap breaking after I dropped the rope on the cement. The customer service team was more than helpful in replacing it though and will reply quickly if you have any other comments or concerns. Overall, top quality rope and I would definitely buy from this company again.

This product is amazing, I love the weight on it. When I first got it, it was a tad bit too long, but it is resizeable which is great compared to the last rope where I had to tie a knot on it making it a bit unbalanced. I do have to put a little bit more effort in turning it than my last rope which is great because it gives me a bit more of a push. Maintenance on the cord is a pain though because of the leather, but I still think it's worth it. My nephew also fell in love with it, so I am planing on giving it to him and buying a new one for myself. Haven't had any problems with tearing or nicks on the cord. Overall high five King Athletic.

When I think leather jump rope, I see myself going full Eye of the Tiger, warming up with the jump rope, preparing for the fight 100% in the zone! While I can't guarantee this jump rope will transform you into Rocky, it will give you a great workout! The handles are padded which makes it easier to keep a good grip, the rope feels very sturdy and of good quality. And as I learned, after being slightly more ambitious than my calves were prepared for, you will get a workout that you wont soon forget! The cherry on top of this great product is the warranty and guarantee! If you are in the market for a jump rope, you can't go wrong giving this one a try!

I'm not overly happy with this rope and I may need to try something else. I can't get the kinks out of the rope. (Any suggestions?) Also, the rope is too light. Combined that means the kinked rope doesn't move fast enough to jump effectively. One thing I do like is the light handles. I jump for cardio on days I lift, so heavy handles only force my shoulders and back to cramp. These are nice and light weight. I wish the rope was heavier and I could straighten it though. There are half a dozen ropes out there that look exactly the same and range in price, which makes me wonder what the deal with this is. I'm also not happy that they dropped the price a week after I bought it. I'd give it 2.5 stars if I could.

I lovee this rope!! Honestly I was a little skeptical about a letter jump rope but it's worth it. Whem I got it it was a little kinked up (in leather so I guess is normal) but I hanged for one daynand it was perfect. Then handles are not heavy which is good so you can actually focus on jumping for a while. Its good for beginners andn for advance people too. it has good quality so it looks like it gonna last me a longgggg time. It's actually protected with a guarantee that you just have to activate. I am not a cardio fan but this type of cardio is the best!

I gave this jump rope 4 stars because even though it broke at the handle I was able to pop it back in. It held for the rest of my workout. I like the leather rope because it works better on concrete but the handles are short. I wish they made the handles like 1-2 inches bigger. Since this jump rope is technically broken I'm looking for another leather type jump rope but with weighted inserts for the handles. Any suggestions? Does the King brand make those types?

Skipping is becoming ever more popular with 'serious' sports players so a friend suggested I buy one. I did some investigation and decided upon this product and I'm so glad that I did. It was dispatched promptly, was very well packaged and is exactly as described. I had a question about how to shorten the leather rope and the seller answered it very quickly giving me exactly the information I needed. This is a quality product being sold at a remarkably budget price and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who wants to get into some skipping exercise.

This product quality is indeed high but I am a bit disappointed with its description. It looks right like the amazon picture but the leather comes dry and you have to buy a neatsfoot oil to hydrate it. I would have appreciated having read this on the description before buying it because it adds a further (at least) 7 pounds to the rope price.
