Compact, Quiet, and Solid Performer for Small Dry Outs
I work in flood and mold remediation and picked this up for a small bathroom dry out. First impression was solid. It feels well built, not cheap, more like a compact piece of professional equipment than a consumer gadget. It’s also surprisingly quiet for the amount of air it moves, which is a big plus when you’re running equipment in a home. I ran it continuously for about 72 hours and it performed exactly how I needed it to. It kept consistent airflow the entire time with no issues, no overheating, and no drop in performance. For tight spaces like bathrooms, closets, or small rooms, this is actually a really practical option to supplement larger equipment or handle lighter jobs on its own. Setup was simple right out of the box and it’s easy to position where you need it. It also arrived quickly, which matters when you’re trying to respond to a job without delay. Overall, this is a dependable, no-frills unit that does its job well and is a great addition to the toolkit for smaller scale mitigation work.

Big difference in air quality
Setup is quite simple and makes a huge difference in the quality / dampness of the air in the basement. I am no longer as worried about mold buildup. It is also not super noisy and gets the job done well. Doesn't seem like it needs much maintenance either.

The Best Product!
This AlorAir commercial dehumidifier has been a lifesaver for my damp basement. It pulls an incredible amount of water from the air quickly and efficiently. The built-in pump is a fantastic feature, meaning I can just set it up and never have to worry about constantly emptying a heavy bucket. Highly recommended for large spaces.

Junk. Avoid this unit they don’t last and support / warranty is useless.
Purchased this unit to help dehumidify a finished space in my garage. The unit worked perfectly and efficiently dehumidifying the space. Then one day about 6 weeks into ownership it wasn’t running and was displaying an e5 code on the display. I unplugged the unit and plugged it back in and it ran for another day or two and then threw the same error code and stopped working. Now it won’t run for longer than an hour. I contacted the company and they requested a bunch of pictures and information. Sent them in an email and they never responded. So I called again they never “received” my email. They then provided me with a phone number to text my photos. So I did. Then they responded a few days later asking me for an image I had already sent them twice. So I sent it again. Waited a few more days no response. I called back and spoke with them and was told the agent assigned to my case was not available but they could see that there was an update to my ticket and that they would need me to ship the unit back. This unit is 2 months old and it isn’t functioning. I do not have the original packing materials and having to source packing materials and pay out of pocket for them to remedy this situation is ridiculous. I was told they would need this unit back before they ship a new one. This company and their products are a joke. As soon as they found out a unit that’s less than 2 months old is not working they should have shipped me a box with a return label and as soon as it was dropped off shipped me a replacement. Now I’ve lost the money I spent on this turd and had to buy something else to replace it because I can’t afford to not have dehumidification. Lesson learned. Buy an aprilaire from a local supply house who will back their products. Don’t buy random junk off amazon.

Good product and great customer service!
I purchased the ALORAIR Dehumidifier in September 2025. Let’s be honest, this is a commercial grade dehumidifier. It moves a lot of air, it pulls in a lot of moisture, and it’s built for large spaces. If that’s what you need, it delivers. It’s plug and go as advertised and it’s powerful. It’s *not* is a whisper machine and it’s not marketed as one. It pushes serious airflow and has high moisture removal rates. That said, the noise level is tolerable for the performance you’re getting. I ran into an error code5 about five months after purchasing the unit. This is where I want to give ALORAIR customer services some credit. Their support team walked me through a very methodical troubleshooting process, which I appreciated. I followed up with them by sending clear photos, step‑by‑step notes, and replicating their tests exactly. Based on that, they were able to identify a faulty temperature sensor on the coil and sent me a replacement thermistor. I installed it as instructed with ease, the error cleared immediately, and the unit has been running perfectly ever since. I also gained a better understanding of the unit through this process. Bottom line: - This is a large powerful machine. It works well. - Anything can have faults, it’s how you address and learn from those faults. - The fault I had, ALORAIR address and resolved systematically and swiftly.

You need to maintain it if you want to last 10 years
This humidifier works really well. It has kept my basement offices dry as a bone. It has one design flaw. As it has an internal drainage pump, if the pump needs work it's a big deal to disassemble the thing and get to the pump. At 21 months of service, I started getting an error message that indicated the pump was not draining properly. I looked up the troubleshooting and saw how to open the case and get to the pump to clean it. A filter in the system had become clogged white slimy gelatinous stuff created by some organism living in the water. I cleaned everything but the pump wouldn't work when I reassembled it. Support was very good and they are sending me a new pump. In the meantime in the most humid time of the year, I'm out of function for a week. I paid a little bit more attention to the cleaning and maintenance directions which advises you clean the pump to three times a year. This is the problem with an internal pump. There are algae suppressing tablets you can put in the water reservoir but you still have to take the case apart to get in there and drop a pill in. It was a lot less expensive than my previous Santa Fe dehumidifier which had an external pump. So I'm saying it's a great humidifier really well but you need to do maintenance and the maintenance is a royal pain. They could've designed it better.

good dehumidifier
I use this dehumidifier in an area of about 2,000 square feet, and it works very well. It consistently keeps the humidity below 50%, and the performance has been very stable. For an industrial-grade dehumidifier, the noise level is surprisingly reasonable. I can barely hear it running from other rooms. The display is very clear and easy to read, showing the current humidity, temperature, and operating status at all times. Overall, this is a very reliable dehumidifier and I’m very satisfied with its performance.

Great 👍
Really solid dehumidifier. I’ve been using it for restoration jobs and it pulls moisture out fast and efficiently. Build quality feels professional, not like the cheap home units. The pump feature is super convenient and saves a lot of time. A bit on the heavier side, but that’s expected for this level. Overall, very happy with the performance and would definitely recommend.
