No ball and spring
Not sure if the design has changed and they haven't updated the description but the description shows a stainless steel ball and spring. The venturi I received has a flat check valve in the mixing cap. It seems to close and open but doesn't seem as secure as the Mazzei ball type system. I will update as soon as I install it and check the functionality. Update.... The ball and spring design has been changed to asmall flat check valve and it functions properly. The only downside to the item is the 3/4" threads. They are not tapered like standard NPT threads and difficult to seal. I used an o ring and washer along with a lot of teflon tape to finally get a good seal.

Adding Ozone to Hot tub; needed more parts!
This works as intended after buying additional parts. Needed to buy threaded barb adapters as well as washers to add to the end so that I can attach it to the 3/4" ozone hose on the spa. If you force the ozone water hose over the threaded fittings on this it WILL leak - make sure you buy the threaded adapters and washers of some sort if you are using this on a hot tub.
