A classic for a reason
I make soap and it's important to know the pH of the batter for quality and safety considerations. I'm glad to have this because now I can be sure my soap is at an acceptable level before using or gifting. I've been exploring how I can use this to test batches of kombucha, but it seems a bit more complicated than I want to get into at this point. If you are concerned about safety using this product, remember: SAFETY FIRST!! Gloves, goggles, mask, long-sleeved shirt. Since I make soap, I have all these, but it's worth picking up a set to be extra safe if you don't have these already. Wishing you safe and rewarding adventures!

I sure it works, but I wish it wasn't cancer causing.
I'm getting into chemistry as a little side hobby. It can be quite risky though, because many reagents are carcinogenic. This one has warnings all over the bottle. Oddly enough, this stuff was used as a laxitive years ago. It's crazy to think what we consumed in past generations... then again, read the label on any food product today and I'd bet a forth of those ingredeints will one day be banned for being carcinogenic. Stay healthy and follow safety rules with this stuff. Enjoy.
