Well built scale with higher weight limit than most scales.
This is a very well built scale with a higher weight limit than most scales. This was purchased for a family medicine office. While many obese patients know that they may have to be weighed on special bariatric scales, I find it unacceptable that most scales only weigh up to 400+ pounds. The 550 pound limit on this allows us to weigh all but the most overweight patients. Saves a lot of embarrassment for many patients for whom we would otherwise have to explain that they are too heavy for our scales. Worth the additional cost, although this is still very reasonably priced compared to other scales with high weight limits.
