Don't waste your money
Truly annoying to use, since it's illogically split between two books. Exercises appear in both books (even though one is a textbook and one is a workbook) and any explanations of grammar or definition of words are scarce. Overall, not worth the paper it's printed on. Better resources can be found online for free, or you can choose one of the tried and tested books, such as Teach Yourself.

I bought the book with zero knowledge of German whatsoever. This product actually contains 2 books and 2 CDs. One great thing is that the book’s website actually has a link to download the audios, so it is not necessary to have any CD reader at hand. Contrary to what you would think, the Textbook is actually a secondary resource. The main book is the workbook (marked as Arbeitsbuch). It has all the instructions you need to follow to learn each lesson. For me, sometimes it feels that the book takes for granted that you already know some very basic german. While that is a bottleneck, a quick search on the internet for certain terms keeps you going without major trouble. For that reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5. I feel this has to be one of the most complete courses out there for self learners. Absolutely recommended!

Ottimo libro consigliato a chi deve iniziare con la lingua tedesca. Contiene due CD. Arrivato senza problemi, come illustrato nell'anteprima.

Super Buch. Für einen Amerikamer der kein Deutsch kann aber schwierig zu benutzen. Daher musste ich es leider wieder zurück senden.
