Fiskars Rotary Cutter for Fabric - 60mm Titanium Rotary Cutter Blade - Craft Supplies

I have been using this rotary cutter since I purchased it in September. This cutter is fantastic! It's already sliced through well over 750 garments. Each garment is cut into a minimum of 4 pieces. The garments are cut into between 4 and 6 pieces PLUS what is cut through and discarded such as elastic cuffs & waist bands, zippers and the button plackets. That's a lot of cutting. Here it is, December 8th, 3 months and over 750 garments and easily over 3000 slices later ....... and I am STILL using the very same original blade that the rotary cutter arrived with! Those folks who claim they have to run the rotary cutter back & forth 10 times or multiple times, to actually cut through whatever their cutting, all I can say is, barring an actual flaw in workmanship or assembly of a particular Fiskars Rotary Cutter or its blade [these mishaps, ie., "duds" do occur in industry], that the issue lies with the user and their technique and not the rotary cutter itself. Try holding the handle at an angle, blade down at waist level, handle at navel level. Don't run it parallel to the item being cut. Believe me, barring a "dud" it's not a dull blade. I would definitely recommend this product. In fact, I'm re-ordering .......I want a second Fiskars Rotary Cutter. I have a cutting partner who assists me. She, too, is impressed with this rotary cutter. We each want our own. Now we'll have 2 rotary cutters. This makes the job go swiftly and effortlessly.

I have never sewn anything before and decided to make a quilt with old levi's. After ruining a pair of brand new scissors and getting hand cramps cutting squares, I found this. Personally, I feel the term Razor Sharp is extremely overused everywhere, but this is *Actually* razor sharp. It really cuts well and has no trouble with multiple layers of sturdy denim. It's really easy to use, lightweight, has a sturdy no slip handle, a blade lock when open, and an efficient, built-in blade cover when closed. It's like a pizza cutter for fabric. I really like it. I don't give out 5 stars unless I am impressed. This is 5 star

I got this rotary cutter in hopes of making it easier for me to cut my sewing fabric easier, since it was quite hard for me to get straight, consistent cuts in fabric that wouldn't fray quickly, and it succeeded! Just to test the waters and see how well this rotary cutter would cut, I used a thinner cotton fabric and it cut though with ease. I then moved onto a very heavy weight canvas thinking it wouldn't be able to pierce it all the way, but I was wrong. The result might have even turned out better than the cotton! This stellar performance is probably due to the bigger size of the blade (60mm) and the material that it was made of (titanium) and I couldn't be happier! If this rotary cutter ever fails (which I doubt it will any time soon) I will purchase the same exact one.

I use this Fiskars rotary cutter for hands cutting paper for custom notepads only. I think it’s easy to use, insanely smooth, and blade is still sharp. I’m not generally a Fiskars fan, but these are getting the job done. Oh, and I’m left-handed and swapping the blade over was quick and easy. I don’t “free-hand” cut anything so, the wobble, discussed below, isn’t a problem. I usually cut 10-12 sheets at a time on a cutting mat. With firm pressure, these cut in 1-2 passes. I only cut in one direction. I agree with other reviewers there is some small wobble, but I just use consistent pressure on a ruler to get a straight enough cut (I previously used a box-cutter). All paper cutters have some flaw or wobble. Only large, industrial paper-cutters costly big $$$ wouldn’t have this problem.

I have used cheapo rotary cutters for years. I had no idea what a difference it makes to use a quality product like this one. Cut through multiple layers of a quilt like it was nothing. Easy to use, easy to change it around for a left handed user. I wish the blades were sharpenable as they dull quicker that I would like, but overall, excellent product!

I don’t know why I waited so long to buy this. I saw so many other crafters using it and they recommended it. I use mine for cutting letter and it does an amazing job. I also used it when I was wrapping Christmas gifts. Makes cutting a straight line so easy. I use this with a straight edge and I get prefect lines with thick and thin leather. Thin leather cuts it with one pass. Thick takes two passes. Plus you don’t have to use much force. I would definitely buy this again!

I don't know what to say about this product. One word is enough I guess "AMZING" . As this was my first rotary cutter don't be like me and get confused on how to put the blade back on its protective position. Well just press on the tiny button on the side.

This cutter is razor sharp and glides through fabric easily. It is very high quality and works much better than other units I've used in the past. Best of all the inner connector is metal so you don't need to worry about wear where the unit screws together. I'm right handed and it works perfect for me, and it can also be adjusted for lefties by flipping the blade onto the opposing side. This is easily done by removing one screw and putting it back together again. I would highly recommend this for any crafter.
