Spore Galactic Adventures Expansion Pack - PC/Mac, Requires Spore to play.

My software came very quick,and I got it the day before expected. You have to have the "Spore" game already loaded in your computer in order to load and use this software. This is the ultimate extension of the Space part of the "Spore" game. You can play other people's adventures that they have created or you can create your own from scratch. You can also re-create or edit other people's adventures into what you want for your own. Even though the software is loaded,in order to do the "Galactic Adventures" each time,you have to put the cd rom into the computer. I'm having some issues with the game or software,which is a loading from the internet of others adventures if I wish to play them. I hope to get those issues resolved soon,which I need to contact EA or Maxis about. I could go on and on what else can be done with this game,but it never will get monotonous or boring,cause of so much you can do if you use your imagination. You can terreform new planets,use any number of buildings,characters etc. what you have created in the "Spore" game or use what others have created. Lots of possibilities. Hopefully in the near future they will have patches for editing or creating new plants,and for sound effects and music in the game. Who says you can't have fun,especially playing this game. And at my age,where I'm in early 50's and a "recycled teenager" :)

This product was a great addition to the game Spore. For any Spore fans out there I would highly recommend this, because: 1. It's a low price 2. In the game you can design your own adventure 3. There are missions in space stage

I love this game! Admittedly having trouble getting some of the adventures to come up, but more than anything I love the ability to make adventures yourself, and it isn't all that complicated, either. Be sure when you first load an adventure you got online that you are online. The user-created resources do not automatically come with the user-created adventure, and you have to be online for the game to automatically download them, which can take practically forever if the user has made all their own resources. That, and the game's annoying habit of downloading random stuff are the only two downsides. Still five stars.

While searching for Spore, Since the stores no longer carry it and i needed to replace my daughter's missing game, i came across the expansion pack. My daughter who loses interest in things quickly still loves this game after a few years of having it so while i was replacing her game i picked up the expansion pack as well. To see she loved was ecstatic when she got it is an understatement. She was also glued to the computer for two full day's playing it before i had no other choice but to give her a time limit so her sister could get a turn,

One of the great things about Spore is that you can play it literally forever if you like. Once you hit the space stage, you have the whole galaxy to play with, but the problem with the original is that there is only so much to do. Galactic adventures provides the Space stage with a HUGE amount of new content and types of adventures. You can not only expand your empire and upgrade your ship, you can now upgrade your ship commander and do missions on the planets (more like Creature Stage.. arguably the most fun part of Spore). If you enjoy Spore as much as my kids and I do, this is a must-have.

I enjoyed playing the original Spore so much I jumped at the chance to get an expansion which could add more hours of game play. This expansion is terrible. Not only has my computer been getting regular blue screen errors since installing it, it has also messed up a bunch of my saved games and freezes up REGULARLY! Even if it didn't have a storm of tech issues and performed correctly, it is still not that entertaining content wise. The concept of beaming down to planets and playing through a glorified version of the creature stage sounds really fun but the actualization is pretty disappointing. Most missions last a grand total of 5 minutes and consist of running from one npc to another and suffering through some pretty boring dialogue. Granted this is essentially a kids game, that said I would still expect that for the price it would have something to offer that even remotely compared to the original. I don't know if this game was made by another developer or what, but comparing it to the original is a total farce. Not to mention sharing creature content with a bunch of strangers is all good and fine, but playing through a bunch of missions engineered by 10 yr olds is a whole different story. I haven't bought the cute/creepy creature creation expansion yet, nor will I at this point I don't think, but my recommendation is, if you absolutely must give EA more of your money on this franchise then try that because this expansion may very well have been the single greatest waste of my money on a video game. Period.

I just received this expansion disc, in great time. The seller did excellent work delivering. I was forced to buy in disc form because I could not find a Mac download version. The first disappointment is that it requires the disc to be inserted just to play the game. My Retna Macbook pro has no disc drive so they are expecting me to put my laptop in my lap with a external DVD drive hanging off the side before I can play an EXPANSION of a game that originally never needed a disc. DRM has truly become the evil of the 21'st century. I spoke to a very nice person at EA games who tried to authorize me for a download version, but it is no longer possible with the Mac versions. . so the Mac version has been abandoned by EA as a download through their Origin service. The only way to play it is to buy on disc and make sure you have an optical drive to leave it in. . . or play it on Windows. So I got all that sorted and started the game with my external disc drive attached. . .The introduction sequence was so incredibly campy and cheezy that I thought I had stumbled into the ToonTown sequence of "Who Framed Roger Rabbit". This is strange to me since the end game of spore is far beyond the Toddler level. That's as far as I have gotten so far. I expect the rest of it is a good game as advertised. But it has been downgraded for me as a mac version for DRM overkill and over the top cheeze.

It was fun until you get to space stage, then it just dies off and becomes mundane. At that point I just stopped playing every time.

What he appreciated the most about this expansion pack was the weapons. They add new power features to the characters. Also, it brings more options when visiting a planet. You can therefore land on it, You can also create your own adventures. Great expansion pack!

Pretty good expansion pack, gives you lots of little things to do after the fact.
