Quality, Good Value and Easy to Use
I love these ice wraps - have several of them and for just about every joint in the body - hands, elbow, back, hip, knee and foot/ankle. Soft but durable with velcro straps, they are easy to adjust to stay where you need them. The ice packs that you slip into them are pliable and soft enough for joints and have a durable exterior that won't split and leak - and they stay cold for extended icing. You just throw the ice inserts into your freezer and take out the ones you need. Beats any other options I've every tried or seen.

De Quervaines Syndrome (father, lifter, work associated)
I have self diagnosed De Quervaines Syndrome. "Thumb-Wrist Tenditis". I'm a lifter, father of 3 babies/toddlers, and I have to use my wrist/hand at work a lot as well. These are three possible causes and I do all three things regularly. I finally decided I needed to intervene because it wasn't getting better. I'm 5 days into a 2 weeks break to start. I decided to stop lifting, limit my mobility with a thumb stabilizer brace, ice my wrist 3-4 times a day, and run ibuprofen and Tylenol around the clock. So, onto the brace. Fit- I wear Large in most everything. This fits me fine. It will work for hands-forearms bigger, and smaller than mine. It has a good range for size. Quality- This seems to be very high quality material. It's a squishy neoprene. The ice packs feel like they'll last a while, and then you can buy replascements when need be. I'm hoping I never have to replace them. I like that I can position the ice packs where I need them through use of hook & loop Velcro. Also, if I have an area to concentrate on I suppose I would only need one ice pack and that would allow me to leave the second ice pack (it comes with 2) in the freezer to remain cold incase I need it too. -Results- It stays cold for a bout 15-20 minutes which is all the more you should ice yourself anyways. It does the job. I gain more mobility in my wrist afterwards which shows me that the swelling inside has decreased. I've gained a good bit of mobility in the past 5 days and have faith that this is necessary to recover from this. I highly recommend spending the $28 on this product because it can be used on either hand-wrist-forearm and I feel it's helping my wrist tendinitis everytime I use it.

Nice Product - Use for Tendontitis on My Wrist
After looking online and reading the reviews, I chose this hot/cold pad for my wrist. I have tendonitis for 11 weeks now. I woke up one morning while taking Levaquin thinking that I must have slept on my wrist wrong. After 3 weeks, I returned to the doctor and found that I got tendonitis ... probably from taking the antibiotic, Levaquin. I have taken it before without any problems until this time. I didn't know tendonitis was a side effect before taking the product and I never asked. (Someone else I knew who took the antibiotic, Cipro. That person's Achilles tendon went out ... he'll probably be on crutches for the year.) When I went to the doctor, he wanted me to soak my wrist in warm water, as hot as comfortable for me. I tried the bucket of hot water, and I even tried the hot wax for hands. The latter didn't reach my wrist and the wax took over an hour to heat up. Both methods were cumbersome, messy, and restrictive. I needed something that can retain heat over my wrist and still allow me to walk around doing chores or typing on the computer. The first night that I used it after work, the next day my wrist actually felt some relief. There are 2 gel-like packs with Velcro pouches. You could also Velcro both enclosed gel packs, one on top and one on the bottom to the inside of this wrist wrap. Using both top and bottom gel packs tend to feel like a weight. I just use one of the packs for the top of my wrist where my pain occurs. I microwave the gel pack in warm water for 1 minute 20 seconds, wipe the water off the gel-pack, put the gel back into the Velcro sleeves, then Velcro the enclosed gel pouch to the wrap (1 1/2 minutes was too hot; I had to put a handkerchief between the gel-pack and my hand. The unit does stay warm for 15-20 minutes. Using this while typing is a bit more difficult because your fingers are somewhat squeeze together in order to secure the wrap. Nevertheless, it's doable. I have not yet used the gel as a cold pack. PROs: less restrictive in activities because you are not corded to a plug, shapes to your hand, stays securely, convenient by microwave heating the gel pack under water in a container, and it can be taken to the office for use, stays warm for roughly 15-20 minutes, can be flipped around for either left or right hand. CONs: doesn't stay hot longer, a little harder to type while wearing this. RECOMMENDATIONS: for tendonitis in the wrist, you may consider using the Futuro brand thumb stabilizer. This prevents your thumb from folding toward your palm which causes sharp pain to the upper wrist tendon. The Futuro thumb stabilizer also braces the wrist to not let you flex your wrist too much ... but still allow some movements. Tbe Futuro thumb stabilizer: FUTURO(TM) Deluxe Thumb Stabilizer 45843EN, Small/Medium I took photos of what you get in an order and uploaded the pictures.

This is the hand versionโฆ..
However in small print on their website I read you could use this if you needed icing on the dorsal side of your foot. I have a metatarsal stress fracture. I put ice in one pocket the first time to just hit the top. It was wonderful. After a long day I put both ice packs in and it hits the bottom and the top and it is bliss. Thank you for mentioning it on your webpage. You should make it more prominent. It is perfect for this. Whether it is a metatarsal issue or planter fasciitis I am covered. Love it. It keeps cold about 15-20 minutes but you are not supposed to ice longer than that my doc said. It gets cold again fast in the freezer. The ice packs have great movement. Iโm going to order two spares. My foot thanks you dearly. And to think I never even got to the hand part. Worth it. I love it.

Good for icing
I bought this product because I have carpel tunnel. It's good for icing but there is not much stiffness to it without the ice packs. It's pretty adjustable and fairly comfortable. I just think I'll only use it for icing. As someone did say the ice packs are very cold! This usually subsides after a few minutes...duh, it's ice. Haven't tried heating it. VERY IMPORTANT: This is ONLY one wrist band. Easily flippable for either right or left hand but it is NOT a pair like some of the reviews here suggest. Wasn't too psyched to find that out after receiving it. POSITIVES: Icing is stable and the wrist band feels complete when ice packs are in. Removing and freezing the ice packs is easy and the velcro allows you to put the ice packs in various positions. Fits either wrist. NEGATIVES: Provides no real structural support when the ice packs are not in - feels more like a long thick glove. Is a bit bulkier than I'd like. Really was expecting a pair of wristbands but this is only ONE. I think for the price I'd just buy a pair with structural support and ice with a regular ice pack.

Works Great
Some reviews mention problems with heating the packs and getting the heat to last. I don't have an issue with this and love this wrap. Here is how I make sure it gets and stays warm enough: 1) I start with room temperature packs, not frozen, if I need heat. 2) Per manufacturer instructions, I completely submerge the packs in water in a microwave-safe container to heat them. 3) I use hot water from the tap, not cold. These steps give me about 20 minutes of heat, which is plenty since doctors generally recommend no more than 20 minutes of heat therapy for injuries. For the first 10 minutes, the packs are hot enough I wrap my hand/wrist in a light towel before putting the Active Wrap on to be sure I don't burn myself. For the last 10 minutes, the packs are cool enough that I can remove the towel, but warm enough to still have a beneficial effect for me. If I need the Active Wrap for cold therapy, I will buy a second set of packs to keep in the freezer exclusively for that use.

Excellent solution for active icing, somewhat wider than images show
I suffer from carpal tunnel, and this product allows me to ice my wrists in situations when I cannot sit still. It is not quite as sleek as it looks in the images, it definitely sticks off my wrists in every direction, but the ability to strap it on and walk around while icing is a huge bonus. Some other reviewers have commented that it is difficult to continue working while wearing this ice pack. That is probably true. What I would encourage you to consider, however, is that working or using the wrists while you are icing them is extremely bad for your wrists. In fact, most medical advice will recommend waiting a full 30 minutes after icing before you continue to use the wrist for activities like typing. The included ice packs get very, very cold in the freezer. I usually require some layer of cloth between my skin and these ice packs. I use an old sock that I cut up, but you could also use a dishtowel or something similar. There are two ice packs included with the wrap, one that attaches to the top side of the wrist area and one for the bottom side. Some reviewers have commented that they use one at a time, but that is not because you are given twice as many as needed โ instead they are choosing to ice only one side of their wrist at a time. This wrap is an exceptionally good solution for the active individual with carpal tunnel or similar need to ice the wrist area. I strongly recommend it to my friends.

Good quality, very adjustable, but bulkier than expected
I have chronic pain in my wrists, and use this wrap regularly. There are 2 heat/cold packs that you slip into the internal pockets. The pockets are attached with velcro, so you can move them around or adjust them in any way you need. The outside is neoprene-type material, so it's comfortable and stretchy. The inside material that the pockets are made of isn't super pleasant to the skin, though. It's not breathable or soft, so I may make my own pockets out of a soft fabric to replace them. I typically wear a long sleeve shirt under the wrap so it is more comfortable. However, it's difficult to fasten tightly enough by yourself. I have to have someone else fasten it. I also only ever use it for heat because that's what helps me, but but it doesn't last as long as I would like. Every 10 minutes or so I have to reheat the packs. The wrap is also bigger than I thought it would be, and rather bulky. I have small arms/hands and it still works for me, but I can't do much with my hand while using it due to the bulk and weight. It's better than wrapping a regular ice/heat pack to your wrist, though. This wrap comes in handy when my pain flares up, and I use it all the time. It's durable and made of high quality material. It's the best option I've found for heat therapy for my wrist.
