This is a nice solid rack. Does the job. Seems like something I'll be able to use for years.

I had been using those black steel spring clips (used normally for holding together thick documents, when staples are too short) to keep my sous vide packets apart... I would clip each one to the circumference of a pot full of water. This rack is so much nicer and neater. It allows the hot water to circulate all around the meat. Probably a little better even-ness as a result. And it's definitely easier to insert and withdraw the packets. I made the mistake of purchasing an 18qt Rubbermaid food container. A 12 qt would have been perfect: the 18qt size is the exact same footprint, but is deeper. I will never need that extra depth, and this rack would have fit just as perfectly into the 12qt size. The steel feels solid. The divider racks fit snugly, and yet are easy to remove. It will last forever I suspect. I especially like the "hold down" rod across the top... Inevitably I leave a little air in my baggies when I'm sealing the, and the rod keeps them from floating even a little bit.

Excellent Sous Vide rack! Fits perfectly in our water "bath". Water is able to circulate around each vacuum seal bag and helps cook food very evenly.

I use this in a pot that is about 7" tall. The rack with the base is a little over 6" tall. The cross bar only passes thru the rack at the top. That means that water has to nearly to the very top to keep the water completely under water. It would be nice if there were more places to attach the cross bar lower down the rack. Other than that problem I really like it. It does not float and unless your food is packed tightly it allows for good water circulation.

4/23/25 I have used this once, and it fits exactly sidewise in an Anova container so that the slots are oriented the length of the container. (Rotated 90 degrees with the slots perpendicular to the length of the container, it is an easy fit.) I needed that so that New York Strip steaks can be sous vide lengthwise in the container. It holds steaks very nicely, and I do not have to constantly check that the steaks are not resting against each other, or against the side of the container. If you look carefully at the pictures, you can see that the spacers are actually two-pronged in a "U" to provide a reliable flow of water between steaks even when they are in adjacent spaces. Easy setup. Folds nicely for storage.

This rack divider came in very hand when Sous Viding my multiple packs of Barbacue ribs. Love that it is easy to clean, it fit perfectly in my container. It was a great value for the money. Quality seems great, I haven't had any issues using this. You won't be disappointed . I love that your can make slots wider or slimmer as well.

I used to create my own rack fashioned from metal clothes hangars. But they rusted out quickly and never really held my Sous Vide bags in the hot water very well. This unit is well built and has flexibility to handle almost any bags I've put in it. Nicely weighted and stays sparkling clean!
