High quality, low cost
If youโre looking for a much less expensive alternative to a Bose or David Clark aviation headset, this is the headset for you! I didnโt feel comfortable spending over a thousand dollars on a headset after just a few flights so I decided to try these out and Iโm very happy I did. Theyโre a quarter of the price of Bose or DC headsets with no compromise in style or quality. The fit is perfect, too. The ANR provides a huge difference and is the exact same as expensive headsets Iโve borrowed. Iโve had the ANR on for some 30 hours and havenโt had to change the batteries yet. The PNR is also super effective if you ever forget to click ANR on or your batteries run out. Crystal clear talking to ATC and in the plane and the sound quality of music thru the aux is also excellent. The mic is flexible and stays in place. The foam on the mic is high quality, too. The volume adjustment on each ear is also a great feature. The case is lightweight with a metal zipper and does its job, and the zipper pocket on the front is perfect to store a few extra batteries. I had a problem with the stereo/mono setting (my instructor blames a few hard landingsโฆ) so I emailed Jack through the email provided on the pamphlet from the packaging and he responded within minutes with the exact solution to my problem. Not only was I impressed with the quick, professional customer service provided, I was relieved to be able to continue using this headset! Itโs no secret that aviation is an expensive hobby or career path โ save a few bucks where you can! This headset is just as good as those that are quadruple the price.

Great ANC for the money.
Worked great. Left just enough noise to hear the engine on a soft tone while using ANC during takeoff but cruise was great. Bought these for the kids to wear and seems to fit them just fine. Also own A20 for myself. The A20 cancel the engine so usually donโt use the ANC during takeoff for safety reasons, so these seem to be a great pair for student pilots. You really want to hear the engine a little during takeoff anyway. Only draw back it the battery case seems flimsy and might break if not careful

Noice cancellation Very disappointing
I bought this headset after reading a few comments comparing it to Bose - seriously not sure how honest those reviews were - I own two Bose headsets. After it arrived, I used it once and tried the ANR active noise cancelling feature, the result was the worst I've ever seen, it was a joke! it sounded like connecting a string to two cups and speak through it! voice was extremely distorted, tunnel type echoes, and hard to hear and be heard by the co-pilot. I thought it was just my airplane comm system, so I tried it on my friend's airplane as well, had exactly the same result. Turning off the ANR mode though, and you get a normal average passive noise reduction (PNR) headset. The earpiece forms are quite comfortable than a cheap headset and provide a little better than average seal for a passive noise cancelling, there was no voice distortion the ANR mode off. DON'T buy this for Active Noice Reduction! it's quite honestly an embarrassment to think that some UFQ technicians test the ANR mode and thought it was good enough to market the headset as an ANR headset. This is just a regular headset with comfortable forms! I returned the headset to Amazon right away.

BOSE A-20 Quality Headset at 25% the price.
I canโt say enough about this inexpensive ANR headset. As a 73 y/o student pilot I have some hearing loss and a good ANR headset is vital for me. My CFI lend me a pair of high quality Dave Clark headsets and I wasnโt at all impressed by them. I was very happy with a borrowed set of Bose A-20โs but they cost over $1000. This UFQ A28 headset is perfect and works for me exactly like the Bose A-20 at 1/4 th the cost (it actually uses the same speakers as found in the A-20). Perfect fit, very light-weight and comfortable, easily positionable but firm mic, individual ear volume controls, input jack for iphone, and both passive and active noise reduction with the flip of a switch. I canโt speak to their longevity yet because theyโre still new for me, but I am delighted with the quality, and certainly the price, of this aviation grade headset.

Great Buy for the price
I have used these for about 5 flight hours now and so far they work well. Noice cancelling is not the greatest but way better than nothing and they are comfortable to wear.

FANTASTIC FOR PRICE
I am working my way through my Private Pilot's License training and picked these up after a few lessons borrowing some from my instructor. Having the Active Noise Reduction at a fraction of the price of the Lightspeed or Bose headsets was a VERY nice in comparison to the standard headset I was wearing. I thought they would reduce the noise just a little more, but the difference is still night and day when you turn the ANR on and off. They work perfectly and being able to make volume adjustments on the ears is a nice feature as well. My Instructor doesn't have any trouble hearing me and so far I've had no issues communicating with ATC either. Should I continue my flying as a Career I will likely look to upgrade eventually, but I would highly recommend these to any beginner aviators or most certainly as a set to have when you take up your friends and family.

horrible noise
I bought this headset a little more than a year now. I liked it at the beginning: comfortable, good noice canceling. Then noise (static) increased. Got in touch with customer service. They sent an email to take the headset apart (yes, literally, even parts that were glued in), which I did. Turns out the fix they recommend (covering three holes with tape) has already been done, so clearly this is a problem they are aware of. The headset is useless now. As such, for the year of use it is expensive. Better go with quality because this headset won't last.

Works really well
I've used the headset twice now and have been really impressed. Feels like a really good quality product. Compares very favorable to my son's Bose headset for a 1/3 the price. Fits very well and is comfortable. Doesn't have Bluetooth, but does have a 3.5 mm jack and you can buy an adapter for about $15 on Amazon.

I've been actively using this headset for a few months now (in a Cessna Skyhawk), and although its ANR is not as excellent as at Bose A20, it still does the job. And when I switch the ANR function on, the difference in noise before and after is very distinctive. Not many may like that UFQ A28 does not completely suppress the sounds of the outer world, but for me it's important to hear the engine. Hence, although the ANR function is not 5 stars, rather 4 stars, I find it good enough. The build quality is very good, and it sits very comfortably on my head, even with the sunglasses and the cap on. No complaints at all. Good investment.
