Best thumb brace I have ever worn. The built in supports are NOT metal, so it is much more comfortable. Another plus is that it hand washable. Measure accurately and your thumb will thank you.

I waited way too long to get this. I didn't know what was wrong with my thumb but it was getting more and more painful, swollen and disfigured. When the pain seemed to be reflecting all the way to my shoulder I was popping ibupropen so much they affected my stomach. Finally I showed it to my primary doctor and she brushed it off with,"it's probably arthritis" along with an attitude of what do you expect at your age? and no suggestions on how to care for it. ( a good sign I need a new Dr). Finally went to a specialist and found out that it is a CMS issue in the thumb that had traveled up the tendons into the wrist and arm. She recommended this splint and of course I turned to Amazon for the best price. She said I would probably avoid surgery by taking care of it. I followed the sizing instructions exactly and got the small size. It is almost a perfect fit. I might try the small plus because there is about 1/4" gap when I close it as much as possible. I am waiting on that decision to see if it fits better when the swelling is completety gone. I know that a snug fit is why it works so I am hesitant to do that too soon. It is a remarkable product. The pain was gone almost as soon as I began wearing it, haven't had another pill since I put it on. At Dr's advice I wear it at night for now. Most of the swelling and bruising is gone. When I take it off for bathing it gets a bit of gentle exercise but if I leave it off too long it begins to hurt again. I can't recommend it highly enough. I wrote all the detail trying to answer all the questions for those who are concerned..Update; I originally purshased two in the same size (small), to have an extra when I washed the other, although the they dry quickly. I am updating to say that I just purchased one in size small-plus. When I haven't used it in a while and my thumb gets swollen, I needed one a bit larger for a while. It is not much larger, just that useful small amount. I notice it is mostly a better fit with the tab-closure that wraps around the thumb. Now I have more choice and it is still doing a good job keeping me from pain and surgery.

These are the most comfortable braces I’ve ever had compared with many I tried. I’ve had a pair over ten years that helped me with my arthritic thumb and painful wrist. Couldn’t say enough about their quality and durability. Recently, I bought one for my right hand and so far it does what it is supposed to do. However, the one for my left hand that I received on July 31st, the stitches on the straps coming out with only few times use! It may be defective, but I am still disappointed! Honestly, I expected more from this brand. I gave it a 4 because of that otherwise I would have given it a 5!

I was recently diagnosed with osteoarthritis in the lower thumb joint and wrist. This is the splint recommended by my doctor and hand therapist. It reduces my pain by more than half, and makes it possible to function again, especially when open jars, chopping food, etc. This is my second purchase. When I started wearing my first splint all the time, I wanted a second one to wear when I'm washing the first. I first purchased a large, based on my measurement. It is plenty big, and the therapist suggested I could get by with a medium. But the medium is really too skimpy. I wish there was a size in-between medium and large, but there isn't. So I should have stuck with the large the second time, too!

The best support for thumb and wrist support. I found more relief than expected when wearing it. The support was worth every penny, so much so that I bought a second one

I purchased the Comfort Cool brace last year and had ordered both the right- and left-handed braces. However, recently I on three occasions, I ordered the left-handed brace again but I received a right-handed brace every time, in spite of the package indicating it was a left-hand brace. I finally decided to try the right-brace on my left hand although it fits upside down. It was okay but after a few hours the Velcro hook and loop which was now on the top of my hand was digging into my thin skin and causing abrasions. The correct and most comfortable fit is to have the hook and loop on the underside or palm of the hand. I do not know why they don't make the left-handed brace anymore, but they should not label a brace left-handed when it is actually a right-handed brace.

I tried a few different thumb braces and for me, this one works the best! I can still play guitar with this on.

I bought one splint 4 months ago but the the sticky joint is no longer sticky any more. The strap comes off easily all the time. The splint is no longer working. Does the product have any warranty? I cannot find warranty info anywhere. If not, could you send me a free replacement since I got this one only 4-5 months ago? I am aware you are just a distributor, not the manufacturer. But the philosophy is that if I buy a product that has defects from Walmart, I go to Walmart for change or refund; I do not have to contact the manufacturer in this regard.

I had to return, it was too small. Had to pay $23.00 in shipping, not impressed. First time ever, I have had to pay for a return on Amazon.
