Dyer heating element
Arrive a day early and all parts were in good working order.

It lasted almost exactly 2 years
I was pretty excited when I got this. It installed fairly easily and was a $25 fix to an otherwise expensive problem. However, the the components are cheap garbage. I ended up using the original fuse because the one in the new package didn't work. That's correct... didn't work. No power to the dryer when I pressed the button, which was one step worse than I started with. I did use the new thermostat but the metal is thin and flimsy, which I believe is probably what led to the heating element burning out in 2 years. But still, another $26 now (fort he "upgraded" model is better than buying a new dryer. I just wish they'd last 5 years or more. Funny how the original one lasted 8 years and the ones they made back in the 70s lasted 20 years or more.

Great Quality
Took about 5 minutes to install all components. Immediate heat upon starting. I dry about 10 loads per week for our family of 5 and the part is going strong extending the life of my dryer and saving me hundreds of dollars. So far a great part and I am highly satisfied.

Quality of element is as bad as they say it is.
Ok, SO, i didn't read the bad reviews and I should have. I'm going to post a image when I get it but for now TRUST ME. YOU DON'T WANT THIS UNIT IN YOUR DRYER!!!!!!!!!!!! The images of the top portion of the element being black shows the there is quality issues. Only after 4 months or less of use, we noticed we were have to turn the dryer on a second time to get the clothes dry. BAD SIGN but I ignored it thinking there was simply TOO much clothes in the dryer.. Dry vent tube was just cleaned this year and I verified all the other Fuses and Thermostats has continuity. BUT the element has the black burnt look at the top just like all the others and not getting as hot. So there is DEFINITELY QUALITY ISSUES HERE!!!!!. I will edit this and post pictures of this unit when I get the new unit in 2 days. I did not buy another one from this same seller. UPDATE: Upon further research. As you can see in the pictures, the element has burnt particles at the top and not at the bottom. If I remember correctly the OEM element I took out didn't look like that even after 4 years of use.. However, this aftermarket Element didn't have any breaks in it, BUT as you can see the case is warped from the heat and obviously something is going on with it. This lead me to also believe that something might be wrong with the thermostats letting it get too hot or something. So I order new OEM high limit thermostat and thermal cutoff switch to ENSURE all of this is inline with what is supposed to be. Please note that my dyer WAS getting warm.. but not hot on HIGH heat setting. Again, my vents are clear and dryer is lint free so this is not due to clogged vent path with lint.

Lasted almost 2 years. Keep an extra one on hand.
I purchased this heating element in 2024. Lasted almost two years. Decided to purchase again. Perfect fit for Estate/whirlpool dryer purchased around 2008. Easy to install, especially for a woman to do on her own. The manufacturer heating element lasted over 15 years. Hopefully I struck luck with this second purchase and it lasts longer than two years. Still cheaper than purchasing a new dryer and paying over $100 for a serviceman to come out. I recommend keeping an extra on hand since it’s reasonably priced and a clothes dryer is an essential household item.

decent product with a bit of bad engineering
I've had my dryer for 20+ years and I've replaced many parts including the heating element. I'm on my 3rd counting the original. Pretty straight forward part swap out. I decided to replace the old high limit switch (down next to the heating element fuse block) with the new one. THAT did not really work out as I had hoped. There's a brass colored tab adapter "soldered" to the switch. Just barely touching it while trying to put in place caused it to fall off. (see photo) Not to worry they give you a lead extension which is a nifty male/female duel connector so I was able to use it as intended. Unfortunately, the bolts/screws (call them as you wish) have a nut head and require a socket to put them in. The actual hole for them on the switch is a bit under the switch itself and you cannot get the bolt/screw in for anything. I could have if I bent the tab but I could not have gotten a socket over it. (see photo) I just used the old one and hopefully I will never have to replace it, but if I do I imagine I will be buying one instead of using this. I counted the parts as gravy anyway considering the price, so the switch and thermal fuses are a bonus (I've replace the thermal fuses several times over the years) I gave it a good rating overall, but longevity really can't be comment on yet.

1 year going strong!
1 year update: still going strong! Update Month Later: dryer to great for two weeks and after a full day of driving things, I close the door to the laundry room and I think it got too hot in there so that I wouldn’t burn down again. Total bummer but it was kind of my fault. We hadn’t installed the fan that dryers need to get exhaust out yet, so it overheated once it was enclosed again. Thankfully, these are affordable so we got another one and it’s been working great ever cents! Original Review: Handyman came to repair dryer and it ended up not getting hot again a week later. So I looked online and found that replacing seemed pretty easy. We didn’t want to take any chances so we literally used each piece. The only bad part was the brass terminal closure on one price was pinched too tight on one side. This kept it from easily sliding into place. So we grabbed a knife and wedge it open a little and wah-la! Replaced back, turned on dryer and it is getting hot again! Included pic of dryer to help those like me wanting to know if theirs will be compatible with product!
