Bright Lights - Exceptional Customrr Service
We saw these lights on a bicycle in our neighborhood and I knew we had to get some for our kids. For the parents, it is nice because you can see the bicycle from far away and it gives a sense of safety for twilight and nighttime riding. For the kids, it gives them something to enjoy seeing the lights as they ride. The lights are very easy to install and the instructions are easy to understand. The hardest part of installing the lights is installing the rubber "band" around the hub. It is possible with one person but a lot easier with am extra set of hands and the 4 step instructions that come with the lights let you know that. The lights have 2 operating modes. When you hit the button once, the lights flash about once a second. When you hit the button a second time the lighter stay on without flashing. The lights are REALLY BRIGHT and fun to look at. I thought it would be nice for trick or treating during Halloween. There is a positive and a couple negatives, but the POSITIVE FAR EXCEEDS the minor negatives. Negative #1: We ordered 6 sets of lights. (2 Blue, 2 Red, 2 Green) (The 2 blue sets are not here yet so I can only offer feedback on red and green for now) The first green set would not turn on when we hit the button. After a little troubleshooting, I noticed the screw cap that holds the battery pack in was not quite seating the battery pack in place. NOT A BIG DEAL. All I needed to do was put a little ball of paper in the end cap and screw it on. PROBLEM SOLVED. NEGATIVE #2: The second set of red lights we ordered seemed to test fine. We put the batteries in and turned it on. While still wrapped up in the packaging ball, all the lights looked like they were working. When I got about halfway done installing them, I noticed one of the lines was ripped. I hit the power button and noticed only half the lights were working. I decided to try to repair the wire but it was so thin that it was impossible for me with my limited amount of tools so I just cut the line at that point and tied it off on the wheel. I was going to leave it that way but decided to reach out to the company to see if they would swap it out which leads to the POSITIVE. OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! In a world of pushing phone buttons to talk to a robot that leads you to someone that many times can't help you with your issue, I can assure you that is not going to happen with these guys. I called the 1-800 number on their website and got an out of office recording. I left a message and we within 5 hours a member of their staff sent me a text message and an email with instructions on how to get a replacement. Keep in mind, I told them that it was working but only half. I offered to send it back for a swap but they told me to hang on to it and they sent me a promotion code for a new one through Amazon. I received the promotion code got the new one on order. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product for adults and kids alike. It adds a big safety factor to night riding and they are fun to watch.

Excellent visibility, easy install, and perfect for keeping our son safe
We purchased these bike lights for our son who is currently serving an LDS mission, as well as for his companion. He rides a bike every single day, and with the recent time change heโs often out riding in the dark. While he already had a front headlight, and a rear light but he was still difficult to see from the sides, which concerned us. These wheel-mounted lights solved that problem completely. Once installed, the bikes are visible from all anglesโnot just the front and back. We sent him a green set and a blue set so he and his companion could easily be seen by cars and pedestrians alike. Installation was straightforward and required no tools. It took them about an hour total to install the lights on both bikes (front and back wheels), even doing it for the first time. They absolutely love them. The lights are bright, eye-catching, and make them stand out clearly at night, which gives us so much more peace of mind knowing theyโre safer. We were so impressed that when our son transferred to a new area and received a new companion, we immediately purchased another set. In fact, we plan to buy a set for each new companion throughout the rest of his mission. Safety is priceless, and these lights are an easy, effective way to increase it. Highly recommend these to anyone who rides at nightโespecially for kids, teens, commuters, or missionaries who depend on their bikes every day.

Fun Safety Upgrade That Also Makes the Bike Look Way More Interesting
These are nice because they combine visibility and style. The safety side matters, especially for riding in lower light, but the fun visual effect is what makes them more exciting than plain safety gear. That is why they also make a good gift item for kids or casual riders. A simple accessory that makes a bike stand out more at night. Pros: โ Adds visibility for lower-light riding โ Fun colorful effect โ Great gift idea โ Easy way to personalize a bike Cons: โ ๏ธ Best value is for people who actually ride in lower light โ ๏ธ Battery-powered accessories always depend on runtime expectations Overall, a fun and practical bike accessory.

Pizzazz!
This product is nearly perfect and I hope you will get one or more sets as well! At the time that I received the wheel spoke lights I also had ordered the version that is a singular color. If I had not done that, then this review may have been given the 5* rating. Both are excellent products and you will have to decide which is the right one for you. But let's talk about the nuances. The color-changing product is truly beautiful. It runs the color gamut from Red->Green->Blue with a few colors in-between as well. However, there is only one mode: On/Off. I appreciate that with the single-color model I received it can toggle between solid color and flashing. This product does not flash which is about 50% of the star I removed for the overall review. It also does not have a quick cycle mode. The only mode available is SLOOOOW color changing. This is fine and beautiful to watch, but I would have appreciated a quick color change mode -- maybe 4 seconds to cycle through all the colors rather than 10 seconds. As a (pre-pandemic) daily bicycle commuter, I found the side-illumination these afforded my tires to be invaluable. My rear-facing tail light and 1000 lumen headlight have long been staples but bicycling through an intersection I always had to wonder whether the cross-traffic would notice me since drivers are rarely on the lookout for cyclists in my area. I feel like these wheel lights changed the game for me in a big way and I was very pleased to have them on anytime I was out pre-dawn or post-dusk. I even appreciated using them in flashing mode under the presumption that they may just give a little more visibility during the morning or evening commute when the sun was up. The installation process isn't ideal and I found it a little more difficult and worrisome than I had pictured. I found the tiny bulbs (like regularly-spaced dew on grass) to get in the way of twisting around my spokes. It left me worried that I had or would damage them during the installation process. However, the material turned out to be remarkably durable from what I could tell and I was grateful that my 700C wheel fit the product perfectly for one trip around the outer rim. If I had a smaller wheel (or wanted to install on a kids bike) I imagine the number of trips around would feel tedious and a bummer that there aren't shorter versions available. As the battery life starts to taper down I noticed that fewer colors were illuminating through the pattern cycle. It has been a long time since I changed the batteries so at least the product is still usable several months into daily use - kudos! I'm hopeful that when I eventually do swap out the batteries the rest of the colors will appear as before. Regarding maintenance, if you get your bicycle tuned up, these little lights will likely have to be worked around as the bicycle mechanic trues the wheel spokes and if you hang your bicycle by the wheel, they will likely be an annoyance to you. But there isn't any interaction with the lights (hopefully) when changing a tube. It feels like once they are installed they pretty well stay where you put them. I've had a few times where I wished that the lights were capable of being more cemented in place but in general I haven't messed with their positioning along the spokes. Expecte a little movement, though, from where you install them. So yeah, I am a huge fan of the bike wheel spoke lights and I can only hope that the innovations will be able to continue and keep this product improving as it matures. Great work Activ Life!

Works Well
In the order of how often I'd use them, whether the lights were easy to install, the quality of the lights, how long the battery lasted, and other comments I had on them: I would use these on my bike every 2 weeks or so on night-time rides on campus and would ride around for anywhere between 2 to 5 hours long. The lights were sometimes a pain to install, but then again, I would install them in the dark surrounded by the other bikes in close proximity; if you aren't cramped like I was when installing the lights, it would be far easier to install the lights. On the occasions that I did not install them cramped having to worry about hitting other bikes, the process would take me about 3-7 minutes, otherwise it would take about 10-15 minutes. It's just setting up the plastic rubber bands on the center of your bike (axle? I only cared about brakes and whether my tires had air), looping the thin wire down to be near the edge of the rims, and looping the wire up and down over each of the metal tire line things. See the end for additional comments. The lights themselves were bright and did not diminish in intensity during the 8 months or so that I used them. They were easily noticeable and helped in being seen when walking my bike through intersections at night. They were also bright and a nice green, nearly as bright as advertised (the advertisement has them to show as blinding X^D). I do not remember if they came with batteries but surprisingly, I don't think I ever had to swap out the batteries during the time I used them. As I mentioned before, I used these lights for about 8 months for anywhere between 2-5 hours every two weeks or so. Finally, my final opinion on these lights are that they are great and that I would buy them again. One thing to note is that you should not install them when stressed or tug on the wires hard as that is how I broke one of two that I purchased. The light still works and I am sure I can add something to prevent any accidents, but do be aware that the wires are a bit fragile. They are not cheaply made though, but should still be treated with some care. I hope this helped some of you, have a good one.

Only 1 Pack For One Tire And Did Not Work Properly
While all the photos make it look like you get both tire lights, only one tire light comes in the package. If you want both tires to light up, you have to buy 2. So $30 instead of $15. Which I do not personally feel is good value for the money. There are other packs on Amazon that give you two for around $20. Also, mine did not cycle through the settings like the directions said they would. You should have a steady on feature and all mine do not. Save your money and buy lights for two tires that work.

Straightforward installation + looks great
Got white for the front wheel, and red for the rear wheel of my e-bike. Battery unit installation: my front hub only used one of the included ties, but my rear hub (Shimano Nexus 7 IGH) used both ties and ~10 minutes of my fine motor efforts. Light installation: easy, and the length was plenty to go around my 29" wheels with room enough that I cut off ~5 inches of excess at the end.

Bellissimissime
Peccato che hanno raddoppiato il prezzo da quando le ho comprato (ne avrei comprate anche per l'altra bici) sono favolose (anche se non ci sono istruzioni di montaggio)

Son loves these
Got one red set for one wheel for my son's bike. Looked really great so decided to order another box for the other wheel. I also bought a set of green lights for a gift for his buddy. They will for sure be the talk of the town with their cool new lights. Even I as an adult find them really cool to look at. I would have loved these as a kid. The faster you go, the cooler the lights look. Like a ring of fire (red lights). I would recommend for any child. Too bad they don't make them in pink. My daughter would love those. no idea how durable since just got them and not sure how will stand the rain. Also concerned about them being stolen from his bike when he locks the bike up at camp. Might draw attention. We shall see.

Safety and cool
I purchased the lights to add it to my son's bike. Apart from the cool factor, the lights are very bright and add a visible factor when we ride at night. Great purchase. Looking to buy another one soon for the rear tires. Thank you Activ Life team for reaching out to make sure we were happy with the purchase. Nice customer service touch.
