Eco Plus Mixer Grinder, White, 3 Jar

Well, I can't say how satisfied our entire family is with this mixer grinder. It is well built. The motor has overload protection feature. And the stainless steel jars are very well made. The lids slide into and out of the jars seamlessly. It'll be two years this September since we bought it and is still running great. The quality is almost as good as the grinders that we get in India. All Indians in USA should know that the quality of the Indian grinders we get here is not on par with what we get in India. Again, before buying this grinder, I bought a piece of junk called Preethi Blue Leaf from East West USA Store, fulfilled by Amazon and that grinder is in this link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004XO1JZE/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Stay away from it in USA unless you know that you are buying it shipped and sold by Amazon or at least fulfilled by Amazon, so that you can be sure that you can return it with no questions asked in case you get a piece of junk like how we got. I'm lucky I bought that as fulfilled by Amazon. Otherwise it would have been $170 down the drain. We were so dejected with that item that we hesitated to buy any grinder for our Indian Kitchen for a while until my mother from India advised us that we can't go wrong with this Eco Plus Grinder. Took her advise and bought it. No worries since then. To name a few, we make: 1. Idly batter, 2. Various kinds of Dosa batters like Minapattu, Pesarattu Guntur Style, Thick Pesarattu North Coastal Andhra Style 3. Gravies for Koormas, Mutter Paneer, etc 4. All kinds of Andhra chutnies like Beerakaya chutney, Vankaaya chutney, Gongura chutney, Tomato chutney, Palli chutney for Dosa and Idly, Mixed Palli-Putnaalu-Kobbari chutney for Dosa and Idly, Kobbari pacchadi for white rice, Kandhi pacchadi (a Guntur delicacy made from roasted toor daal), 5. Various powders like Sambar Powder, Chaaru Powder, Nuvvula podi, my Mother's Special Podi for Vankaaya koora, Putnaala podi, Kamma podi, Gunturu Kaarappodi.... You name it, we make it. The same stuff I used to enjoy in my good old Guntur in India. Thanks to Amazon for bringing a smile on all our faces here in USA. I bought it sold and shipped by Amazon unlike some other unlucky buyers who got their hands burnt by dealing with General Elect, Gandhi Electronics etc. They are all con and scam artists. The Preethi Eco Plus Mixer Grinder is a solid appliance for everyday kitchen use. The motor is powerful enough for grinding spices, making chutneys, and preparing dosa or idli batter. The jars are sturdy, and the overall build quality feels durable.

This mixer is just perfect for our needs. The mixer came packaged in its original box, with all parts neatly arranged and all contents clearly accounted for in a list of contents. Moreover, there was a clear well-written manual and set of instructions, as well as a DVD-manual. Instructions for first-use were also mentioned clearly. This mixer was specifically meant for use in the US (plugs into a 110V outlet). All jars were easy to put together and the mixer overall works great! Grinding of spices, chutneys, lentils, etc. is so much quicker and easier because of this powerful mixer - much better than the typical blenders that are available in supermarkets like Target/Walmart and the likes. It's been about a month of use with this mixer and we have experienced no issues (overheating, broken coupler, broken blade, and such) so far. Mixer appears quite sturdy and the suction cups at the bottom ensure a very strong hold on the counter - as a result the mixer doesn't vibrate or move about much even when run at the highest grind setting. Overall, very happy with the purchase and would highly recommend the product and the seller.

Hello Amazon customers, I have been an amazon customer for more than 5 years and was always happy with all the purchases. But two months ago, I purchased the Preethi Echo plus mixer with three jar and not at all happy with the product. The condition of the product I received was bad, the blades were rusted, and two of the washers were cut apart half way through. I tried to contact the company, but had not received any response. Attempted to chat online, but no one responded as I typed in my problem. You won't believe, one of the jars even had some white batter residue in the bottom. Since I didn't want to go through the process of returning it back, I decided to keep it. Every time I grind, without over loading, it keeps turning off and leaks through the ripped washer. Then I bought a new Preethi washer from Indian store in hope of using it safely. I didn't want to write a review until today as something bad happened to me while using this mixer. If you add any water, even little at the bottom, the lid will force open (even when you cover the lid with your hand) and splash every where. It happened multiple times, but yesterday it was the worse. I was grinding some spice with very minimal water, then held my hand on the lid tightly, and as I turned on, the lid just popped up forcefully and the spicy content was all over my face and eyes. I was running cold water in my face at least two hours. And now I have red bumps all over my face by getting splashed. I am glad my son was not near me while I turned on the mixer. Now decided to throw the mixer away and buy a brand I can trust. As far safety is concerned, it is not a safe product to use. So please don't be attracted by the false reviews, and if the safety of the product matters you, please don't but this product, especially from this seller. I hope this review is helpful to other customers.

Very good mixer. Blends the grains as well smoothly

I have read all the bad reviews for this mixer here on Amazon and I figured out the reason why some of them were giving it a bad review. The reason for the bad review: "switches off every 1 minute" is that the mixer cannot handle the quantity that you are trying to blend because the mixer motor is not equipped to handle such heavy loads. Its a 550 watts motor vs the 750 watts motor that we get in India which is much more powerful. Like many others who have already mentioned, put half the amount of the container capacity, you are good to go. If not its going to switch off every minute with weird sounds because of the overload (personal experience) which will require you to reset the motor. My mother is here from India and I asked to test mixer with all the 3 jars, speeds and loads. This review is based on her experience. She made chutneys and idli batter the same day the mixer arrived. She has the same Preethi Eco Plus mixer back in India which can handle much heavier loads than mine because of the above mentioned reason (wattage). As for the bad reviews about receiving a used mixer, some speeds not working, I don't have an explanation. They seem to be genuine issues. I give it a 4 star because I still haven't located the warranty paper. An appliance costing so much must be covered under warranty for at least 2 years. If I do locate the warranty paper then I will come back and give it a 5 star. Oct 30, 2012 I mailed Great Elect about the warranty card for the mixer they got back to me saying that the mixer comes with a 1 year warranty given by Preethi. Since there is a warranty I am giving this mixer a 5 star. The following is what I received in response to my query about the warranty. Today is the day1 of purchase 1. Smallest jar came unassembled and it had 5 washers without proper packaging and to fix and it took forever which was unnecessary task.

Manual and stirrer were missing. Otherwise no problem.

Very Good quality, it works nicely and do the job. Using it from last many years without any trouble. This model is suitable for 110 Volt line supply in Canada

I love, love, LOVE my new kitchen toy. I killed our blender and our food processor is on its last leg. A friend of mine recommended the Preethi and I am so impressed already! I made some spruce tip salt and spruce tip sugar today and it minced up the tips like nothing. Absolutely love the ease of use and I am so happy it came with some spare parts. What western company sends you spare parts with your purchase? None that I can think of! You need this in your life! I’m vegan and I just know this is going to make the BEST cashew sour cream.

It’s good product I used past one month from Canada 🇨🇦 but I purchased Indian Amazon it’s worth of money

So far so good, been a month since i have been using it. Its pretty loud but does a good job. Hopefully it lasts long as its really pricey.
