A Lifesaver for Summer Learning — Fun, Engaging, and Effective!
As a parent, I wanted something to keep my child’s brain active over the summer without making it feel like “school.” This workbook is exactly what we needed! Why I love it: • Well-Rounded Content: Covers math, reading, writing, science, and even social studies. It gives a nice review of first-grade skills while gently introducing second-grade concepts. • Easy to Use: It’s organized by days/weeks, so it’s super manageable — just one or two pages a day keeps the momentum going. • Fun Activities: The mix of puzzles, short stories, and games keeps my child interested. It’s not just boring drills. • Stickers and Certificates: The reward system is a cute touch and really motivates my child to complete each section. • Keeps Routine Going: Helps us keep a little structure during summer break, especially on days when screen time creeps up. My child actually asks to do it some mornings — that’s saying a lot. It’s been a great way to prevent the dreaded “summer slide” while still allowing plenty of time for play. Highly recommend for any parent who wants to keep their child sharp over the summer without a battle. I’ll definitely be buying the next level for next year!

Material not yet covered.
This book is a good overall picture of the learning trajectory. We have the 1-2grade bridge and I had to pick and choose activities to work on that suited my daughter over the summer.. Much of this book had material we have not covered yet, and she is advanced in LA and average in math. I find it hard to believe the majority of kids in this age group have mastered this book after 1st grade completion. Even now, into 2nd grade, I grab this book for our “on the go” days to do more pointed practice and challenge certain concepts! He tried several supplemental books like this and they are usually too easy and not varied enough. I will get these summer bridge books in the future for sure.

The Best Learning Book I Have Found for My Kids
These bridge books are the best activity book I found for my three kids. We have tried numerous other activity books and none of them seem to be more age appropriate or keep my kids attention like these. I also love that inside of the books they guide you as to which pages should be done on what day of summer break. It give my kiddos a goal to achieve which gives them a sense of accomplishment when they are finished. This is my third year purchasing a bridge book and it is something I will continue to do each year for my littles.

Great summer tool for learning
These books are very well thought out and put together. The lessons are short and to the point while keeping kids focused. This was a great way to keep what the kids learned at school fresh all summer and made for a smooth transition back in the fall.

A lot of fun activities and great knowledge for kids to learn in summertime
Buy these two books for my 6-7 year old kid to learn in this summer. I prefer using books to teach her at home because I don't want her to spend so much time on iPad, no good for her eyes. My kid loves these activities in these books a lot, really joyful.

Fun little mini lessons
Fun little mini lessons for 1st grade going into 2nd grade. I really enjoyed the extra things too, like the flash cards, bucket list, QR codes for books to read, and other resources. Some lessons were a little challenging for my 6yo to complete independently, but it was great for us to do together and to practice perseverance when it got challenging or when it was "not what his teacher did in school."
