Great little light, getting ready to buy another one. The 5-head version is brighter than the 3-head. I don't even have it at full brightness. Plants respond to it immediately, my new grapevines perked up toward the light after a couple hours of being under it. It does get a bit hotter than the 3-head version and I worry about letting my vines get too close to the lights heads. Observe recommended minimum distance of 10"-20" from plants. Flex arms are much stronger than the 3-head version. Arms actually stay in position, very nice. The plastic clip is a bit weak but I made it work. Haven't had any problems so far with functionality on either of the lights I've purchased here. Awesome little grow lights, my plants love them.

I’ve been using them for a week and a half - so far they seem to work well. I have all 5 cycle on/off for 12 hr intervals and that works well – no time shift. I tried the 3 and 6 hr cycles too, using only blue or red lights, and fewer than 5 heads on, and all worked fine. My only complaint is that the unit screws on the clip with about a quarter of a turn with plastic/plastic threads, so I am afraid just bumping a head might unscrew it from the clip and the five heads could fall to the ground and get damaged.

I was immediately impressed with the overall quality of the lights and their function. The flexible arms are strong and hold their shape well, but I found the clip is fairly weak, especially when the arms are fully extended. I had to get creative with getting the clip to hold its own weight. As another review mentioned, the clip is somewhat narrow, which puts some limitations on what you can clip it to. The timer function and overall selection of lighting options is great and with some creative adaptations, I do find this to be overall a very nice and inexpensive solution to your plants winter blues.

Worked great for the first few months. Then the timer stopped working and using an external timer also doesn't work. Frustrating and super disappointing.
