This is simply the best kind of wirenut. It has a huge range of wire sizes and quantities it will grip. It goes on easily, holds on well, and doesn't waste a lot of space with stupid giant wings.

I recommend 3M wire nuts to any electrician, novice or experience. They have the extra length skirt, which can save your life. First rate product.!

It is really hard to find something to compare these to. After having used these, you'll never want to use the cheap knockoffs again. Have used this with wires from 22-12 AWG with zero issues. The inside of these is where the quality is. The solid coil of metal really does an amazing job at biting into the wires to provide a solid connection that will last. Try giving it a nice pull once it's bottomed out and you'll noticed that hold stronger than Hodor can hold a door! The red part on these feels like some sort of rubber which is nice when trying to shove wires into it. They are very easy to hold on to even when you're wearing thick gloves. They come in a nice resealable bag which is nice if you only use a few here and there. I wouldn't hesitate to buy these again, and look forward to the many projects that will have strong and safe connections.

Best wire nuts I’ve used

I have cloth wires, knob and tube, as well as new construction. These 3M connectors have not loosened over time, and have created much safer connections in old outlets and ceiling junctions. I don't know if there is a difference between brands, but these have never failed me or come loose.

These 3M wire nuts are great. They go on easy, feel rock solid, and I've had no slippage or loosening when testing them before using them on my actual wiring jobs. The only slight knock I have against them is the price. I've bought two bags of these this past year and they run 4-5 times the cost of a more traditional/basic wire nuts. They do feel high quality and for the peace of mind, ultimately, I think they're worth it. However, I do get a small itch when a friend or colleague asks why I'm overspending on these when a basic four cent nut and a little electrical tape is just as secure.

These are premium quality wire connectors that provides a superior and solids connection. Please note that the color of the product denotes the size of wires (ie gauge) that it can accommodate. This red/yellow one is about mid size, and the blue one is the largest.
