For me 3-day wort relief!
Reviewed on March 5, 2020 Compound W works great! My doctor recommended it. My hands are still fairly calloused, from using an axe in highschool. On my right hand were two tiny planar warts. Each was about 1/16 inch around. For many years, when they showed up, I'd just scratch then off the calloused surface & they'd be gone for months! Trouble was that they'd come back, eventually, a bit longer in the direction of scratch. So they were about 3/16 by 1/16 when I did this. Truthfully, when I got Compound W, I was a bit nervous about using it. Don't be! It's easy, painless & does a great job! Finally, on Tuesday, a week after purchase, I applied it. Easier than I thought. Sort of a gel. Best to apply after soaking the area in warm water for 5 minutes or so. Therefore I made a point to apply after a nice long shower. The gel dries in about 10 minutes & leaves a thin white layer of salicylic acid on the wart & nearby skin. Applied after shower in morning & again before bed. Each time making sure the gel dried before bumping it. Once dry, I tended to forget it was there. Usually, it stayed put all 12 hours. Amazingly, the warts seemed to gobble up the salicylic acid more than the surrounding calloused skin! Started on Tuesday & by Friday, the warts were soft & pliable! Yeah! Simply kept moving the softened wart around until, similar to a blister, I scratched them off! (Yes, just 3 days later!) But I heal very fast, so you mileage may vary! Give it at least 3 weeks or more. Remember, this only works for warts, because of they way the warts slurp up salicylic acid! On anything else, you are going to fail. But it works great on warts! ======================================================== Added March 21, 2021: Last year, I successfully used Compound W Gel & scratched off the two tiny warts in just three days. A year later, 2021, under a very strong 6000K LED light, I could see that the two tiny warts were barely visible, again. Had I not known where to look, I never would have seen the tiny warts! Perhaps I wasn't patient enough the first time & scratched them off too soon. So, again, I dug out my almost-new tube of Compound W Gel. It's a gel and thick. So I squirted out a tiny gel glob, stacking gel up on each tiny wart. Waited a couple of minutes for gel to dry & retired to bed. Overnight, the gel had made two quarter-inch circles from being piled so high. No more sign of tiny warts. Two or three days later, I remembered to look for tiny warts. No warts. Scratched the spots were the circles had been. Each spot flaked off a bunch of dead skin. Again, the complete annihilation of the tiny warts. Probably, if I were a good patient & more carefully followed directions, I'd get even better results! But, these were tiny warts, so didn't keep my attention. The tiny warts are gone now, with very little effort on my part! Let's give Compound W Gel at least a 10 of 5 starts! Helpful stuff!

Extremely effective, highly recommend
This product definitely works fast. I had a wart on my left pointer finger, and it ended up getting so large it was caught on my fridge door, tore, and was bleeding before I finally started to treat it. Pretty dumb I know. My doctor recommended either freezing the wart at the medical facility, or he recommended this product specifically. He even went onto Google and showed me images so I would know exactly what to buy. He had that much confidence in this product, and I see why. I used this gel atleast twice a day, and would bandage my finger when the gel was still wet or after it started to dry. It did slightly burn at first, but that may be because my wart had torn open. After about two weeks of daily use I noticed the wart was significantly reduced in size. I stopped using the gel for a few days to see how my finger looked and to determine if the wart was still there. Because I used this product so much my skin did change to a bone white color and was very dry where the finger was bandaged. But after a few days the skin started to return to the normal color and began to peel. It appears the once large wart is now gone. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who has a wart(s) they're trying to treat. It's much more affordable than having a medical professional freeze the wart off, even with insurance. Highly recommend!

Works fast and easy to use
This product comes with two tubes. It is easy to apply and dried quickly turning white and it hardens (like a plaster) It makes the skin around wart peel away exposing the head, I did not want to pick or cut at wart at all. I applied 2-3 x a day the fist couple days..then then only once a day as with the larger warts it finally began to burn. The product does make the warts look "worse" after a few days because the skin is dead and becomes flaky dry. After I stopped using product after one week I just kept hand clean and used keepers hand cream to repair skin. This is a keep product and I only needed one tube!!!!

Works, But Be Prepared for Stinging and Patience
Works, But Be Prepared for Stinging and Patience Compound W Maximum Strength Fast Acting Gel is one of the stronger at-home wart removers I’ve tried, and it definitely works—but not overnight. The gel is easy to apply thanks to its no-drip formula, and it stays put on the wart instead of running everywhere. Within a few days, you start to see the wart tissue soften and whiten, and over time it peels away. That said, this isn’t painless. The salicylic acid can sting, and if you accidentally get it on the surrounding skin, it may cause irritation or a burning sensation. For best results, you really need to be precise when applying, and it helps to cover the treated spot with a bandage or patch so the gel doesn’t rub off. Using it consistently—usually once or twice a day—is key. It’s not an instant fix. Smaller warts can respond in a couple of weeks, while more stubborn plantar warts may take a month or more of steady use. For some, it completely clears the wart; for others, the wart may shrink but come back later if treatment stops too soon. Bottom line: If you’re patient and apply it carefully, this gel is a solid, affordable alternative to a dermatologist visit. Just be prepared for some stinging, skin irritation around the area, and the fact that results can take several weeks.

The best product for warts.
I had warts on my thumb and my foot. I had gone through 3 years of treatments with my podiatrist and nothing worked. I am delighted to say that after using this the ones on my thumb are completely gone. The one on my foot is being an little more stubborn, but it has shrunk substantially. I couldn't be more delighted.

Patience is a virtue!
This is what worked for me on my 6yr old plantar wart that was about the size of a nickel, so YMMV and it's probably not needed for smaller warts. But if you've got a stubborn or old wart and lots of patience and persistence, I'd recommend getting these items as well -- a good quality metal tweezer (surgical disposable scalpels if you're a bit more fearless), plastic gloves (best in bulk) and bandaids. Use the gel twice a day as instructed and each time it will form a white protective layer once applied and dried. I usually put a bandaid over to avoid outside friction that might cause the layer to fall off. The most important part of my routine is to perform a debridement process every 3-4 days. I do this after a hot shower when the skin is softer and easier to peel. Put your gloves on (IT WILL SPREAD TO YOUR HANDS if you're not careful so just get some and put them on), take your tweezer/scalpel and slowly peel these dried layers off along with dead skin that have been broken down by the acid. The goal is to get to that wart hiding underneath layers of skin faster. While doing debridement, try to keep the other parts of your foot dry to prevent the virus from spreading since the skin is more prone to infection when it's wet (Yep, I ended up with 3 other baby warts when I just started doing this because I'd run water down it to clean the debris). And don't debride until you see blood....the last thing you want is an open wound prone to bacterial infection that will complicate the problem. Once you're done with the session, clean your foot with some soap, throw the gloves away, use alcohol to sanitize your tweezers (please do not try to use them for any other purpose), and throw some more compound w over the wart until the next session. Repeat, repeat, repeat, and keep going. I can't emphasize this enough, you HAVE TO keep going (unless there is bad inflammation, then that might be a time to see a podiatrist) This was a 4.5-month process for me! I'm now at the end of the battle and can see normal skin tone and skin lines where the wart once was at. Having my fingers crossed that I will be wart free and they won't return anytime soon!
