Sturdy. Ridiculously Good Value.
**One thing to address before I get into my review. The negative reviews I've read concerning attaching the top plate/tray to the stand are, frankly, bogus. The screw is not welded in-- but it is firmly in there. Simply unscrew the thumb screw all the way off and tap the screw to release it. You might need to use a mallet or smack it with a wood block but it will come out. Then negotiate the top plate into position and reinsert the the set screw while being careful to keep the washers between the two halves. Screw the thumb screw back on, adjust the tilt of the plate to taste and tighten. Pyle probably should have included better instructions but they probably assumed customers would be a *bit* quicker on the uptake. Now for my review: Impressive stand. The metal poles are over an inch in diameter and the footprint if you fully extend the legs is nearly 30 inches (though you don't need to operate it that way). Suffice to say this stand is extremely sturdy and unlikely to tip over even if someone knocked into it. The plate up top is fully metal and not the plastic piece you find on most competitors. Height is not continually adjustable but adjustable via a cotter pin secured to the center pole by a canvas strap. Lowest height is roughly 35", then 42.5", 49", and finally 55.5". This will disappoint some but the cotter pin means this will hold a lot more weigh without risk of slipping. There is a lot more play/slop at the top height setting so I would recommend this at 49" or below. Laptops and smaller projectors won't cause this stand to break a sweat and the Pyle confidently held my 15 lbs BenQ X3000i which is not something I can say about the Innogear I bought alongside. About that: I bought the smaller tripod after I realized the Pyle might be too tall for my purposes. The Innogear is plenty sturdy for being so small and light but is somewhat let down by it's plastic tray table. It flexes and warps easily and I don't have much confidence in placing a projector much heavier than 7-8 lbs on it. Ultimately, I highly recommend the Pyle if it's size/height meets your requirements. You won't find a better tripod projector mount for the money (literally-- Amazon sells 'basically' the same thing for 50% more). The metal tray table and wide stance alone make this a winner versus the competition. I wouldn't try and balance a JVC on there but it should work for reasonably sized projectors 20 lbs or less.

Good sturdy stand
I got the stand to use as a portable desk for my laptop. The picture showed my MacBook 16" on the stand. Plenty of space on the tray. I like it very much. If there is one weakness, that would be the tray is plastic. But not a big deal. The steel rod is 1.5" in diameter. It is really sturdy. But it is heavier than other stand. It holds my Epson projector very well. This is definitely super sized better than my other stand. With the lock, the tray stay raised to the height. Pretty happy with the Pyle stand. Not so happy about the Amazon warehouse though. I bought this item used, so someone must have returned it. There was missing parts. The screws and nuts were just dangling in the big box, not in plastic bags. It was missing a nut and a washer. Just bad that Amazon warehouse didn't check for missing parts. I could have returned it to Amazon, but decided to try Pyle support. I contacted Pyle for the missing parts. GOOD customer service from Pyle through email. They took my request as warranty service and shipped the parts. It took a few days to get from New York. One note was that the Pyle service representative asked me to take a picture of the missing parts. I supposed if the part was missing, how could I take a picture of the missing part. Anyway, I was glad and happy that they tried to help. At the end it worked out. I got the stand working. I also use it as a standing desk as well. 5-Star for Pyle standby their product 4-Star for Pyle customer service. 5-star for the quality of the stand.

Serves It's Purpose! Good Buy
I want to tell you..if the top of this stand was a little better it would be a Five Star review. Very heavy construction on the base and connection points. I believe that this thing could hold me if I stood on it! BUT..The plastic top is thin and I am going to have to beef it up a little. It is sturdy plastic, but it's only about the thickness of a normal cd case that you buy to listen to from the store. Mine was a little warped on the corners and it looks flimsy compared to this very well built stand. I suspect that I will cut a peice of 1/4 inch plywood to size and use the existing hardware to mount it. I am very happy with this purchase and the money that I spent on it. Very reasonable and the modification that I will make will be very easy for me. I would definately buy it again. The stand is built like a Sherman Tank. The top is an upgraded TV tray from the 70's. With the modification it is still WAAAAAY cheaper than other ones that I have seen.

Stand is very strong and stable
The stand is much more stable and stronger than expected. It is heavy duty with very wide legs with a 2 inch circumference. So it's very stable even if bumped no worries. The top has a indent opening for the cord to go between. You can easily set up a projector, tablet or laptop. The height and the table are both adjustable to fit different needs. I highly recommend it. I was expecting something flimsy like the projector screen stand. This is high quality and will be very stable if you choose to use your projector outside. Can't say the same for the screen. Also it makes a great music stand and is much superior to any other I had owned. It folds down and the legs slide down and push up. The table portion fold down. No need to take anything apart for transport unless you choose to remove the table. Everything unscrews and the the height has an easy to use and remove pin to adjust the height.

Terrific stand
Why did you pick this product vs others?: This item had a large platform area, a great, sturdy and flexible susable and is lightweight. Even though the platform is plastic, once it is mounted to the stand it is VERY stable and sturdy. The platform angle controls are very useable.

Works well for us to support our Optoma projector. Just the right size for it. It moves when we touch the table, but OK for us as we tucked it between the 2 parts of our L-sofa. Actually good if we want to adjust the projection left or right. Have had it for a few months and never had any fall (but no children in the house, only seniors!). Only moves if we touch it. Happy with it.

Ein stabiler Ständer, welcher nicht wackelt und mein MacBook oder meinem Beamer sicheren Stand bringt. Verarbeitungsqualität ist für den Preis absolut in Ordnung.

I am a teacher and have bought it for school. It's easy to use and to store. Different hights are possible and the projector cannot slide to any of the sides. It's something I would not like to miss in my class, and qualitative enough
