AmpFlow M27-150-P Brushed Electric Motor, 150W, 12V, 24V or 36 VDC, 3800 RPM

We brought multiple of these motors and used them in a human-size robot for years now. If the motor is used properly with the correct engineering analysis for power factor, true power, RPM, voltage/current, and torque parameters, it works reliably for years as it has for us. Ad-hoc use of the motor without design considerations can yield unpredictable results as noted in some of the other comments. It is not sufficient to just match the physical size of the motor to what is needed. Electrical characteristics are just as important as the physical size.

I have a Montage Elite massage chair, and the motor for the kneading function stopped working. The part number on the original motor yielded no results when trying to find a replacement. All I knew was I needed a 24v DC 60 watt motor. It took a couple tries to find the right motor, but this one is working like a charm. I did need to buy a speed controller, as the 3,800 RPM is too high, but that was only $14. So now my chair works like new. The motor is silent, and has enough torque to keep the massage head working with no slow down in speed regardless of how much pressure you put on it. UPDATE After less than a week of moderate usage, the motor is now whining loudly, and frequently just stops spinning. Return has been started.

Bought two of these motors and both of them have failed after only 3 months of use. The first motor burned out and the second motor has completely seized up. Poor quality and overpriced motors. Do not recommend anyone to buy these.
