Great outlet
I love this outlet. I have a large floor area over a crawl space with a considerable distance between the walls. I needed an outlet in the middle of the floor to avoid having to plug cords into the wall and avoid having to stretch the cords across the floor creating a trip hazard. I was able to install this unit in about an hour. It's very easy to install. It only requires a standard 4" hole saw and a few basic tools. It looks great and it is super convenient to plug in devices without having to skip over power cords.

This is not one of the best but THE BEST FLOOR RECEPTACLE KIT ever built!!! I installed 12 and they look absolutely GREAT!!!

The floor box looks good
The unit looks good, but it seems that this particular item is not designed for tiles floors. There is room around the unit and the danger is that if weight is applied to a small area the tile may break. We filled the open room around the bottom part of the unit with closed cell foam and hope that is enough to prevent any breakage. Otherwise the unit looks good installed and is easy to use.

Fits perfectly when installed right.
I have never drilled into hardwood floors before. Sort of a phobia. When I got this kit I saw how easy the instructions were and never had a qualm about tearing up the floor. Wiring is straight forward and the machining is excellent. If this is what you need then you will find it worthy of your project.

The brass stays bright and shiny
I have a pot hanger in the ceiling of the kitchen and wanted back lighting for the look of it and to always have a sort of night light. While this is designed for floors, I had it installed in the ceiling over the pot rack where there used to be a hanging light. I didn't want to deal with battery packs for strip lights. It’s well built and a bit heavy so we had to anchor it pretty well in the ceiling, but it works fine. Haven’t had a single issue with it.

Perfect for a difficult space
The electrical box of other floor box kits at Home Depot and Lowes did not fit the shallow space we had to put it in. This fit great as it is made to be adjustable. It has only popped out once because it gets stepped on a lot. I put it back in easily. The location of our floor outlet was not well thought out in the older country home we bought so I am grateful this product is available and fixed our problem.
