SVS Prime Tower Speaker (Single) – Piano Gloss Black

I waited some time before I'd post a review... I'd like to share my impressions. These speakers have a very "full" sound to them. My previous main speakers were Canton 2-way speakers, these SVS towers are much fuller sounding. I find myself turning the music up louder and listening longer, which is a great quality from a set of speakers.Another quality I noticed from my previous speaker setup, is the ability to hear closer tones together, an example is when a duet is playing, I can clearly hear the two different voices. This goes the same for various instruments playing the same tones. The resolution is clearer and I can tell the different sounds. The connections in back are standard plugs which accept banana connections or regular wire, and the cabinet is pretty sturdy.One thing to keep in mind, these speakers were designed to be pretty accurate, which means that if you have a poor recording, you will also hear that it's a poor recording. This is one caveat with a good accurate speaker. All in all, if you're looking for a fairly accurate speaker which will shine with great music, the SVS Prime Tower definitely fits the bill.

I have a set of these in my living room along with their center and satellites, all in gloss black. If the music I play is not optimal the these speakers will reveal it. They are a little brighter than my satellites but when I play music I only run the towers, if the source recording is excellent the sound is truly epic. The tweeters will sound hot if your room does not have much fabrics. I had to move mine a foot or two from the wall. I wish they had outriggers on them but will make up my own set. I worry about my cats knocking them over. I am using the rubber feet not the supplied spikes cause they are sitting on 3/4" solid oak hardwoodsThe speakers I was looking at besides these were the GoldenEar Triton 5's which were the same price as the SVS Ultra's. I was actually going to order the SVS Ultra's but bought these first under their trial to see if I liked these first. There are a lot of good speakers out there. You need to really try them in your room with your amp to know for sure how they will sound in your room.These speakers are not huge so they do not become the focal point of the room but can still fill your room with full balanced sound.Although I don't always run it you may want a sub with them.My system is 90 watts per channel but I have never had it up all the way.

I bought a pair of Klipsch R-820F's which were highly rated. I wanted to like them, just very muddy mid-range. Good speakers for movies, terrible for music. So I opted for the SVS Prime Towers and glad I did. Mid-range came alive and they have very good bass response even without using a subwoofer. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a $1000 speaker price point!

Después de hacer una búsqueda muy meticulosa, después de haber escuchado las mejores marcas como monitor audio, Polk, focal, revel, etc, me decidí comprar una bocina que no escuche, simplemente analice a través de las opiniones y reviews en todo internet. Y después de probar estas hermosuras de bocinas, estoy más que satisfecho por la compra. Son en verdad, piezas diría yo de Entrada al Hi-End, ya que son bocinas de 3.5 canales con una calidad simplemente extraordinaria. La calidad de TODO el rango dinamico es realmente sorprendente. Es decir, los bajos son profundos, limpios y claros, los medios son claramente separados de los bajos y altos, y lo más importante es este tipo de bocinas "frontales" es la calidad de los agudos, es decir, la cálida del sonido en las frecuencias altas son las que definen el precio de una bocina. Y estás bocinas son simplemente de calidad premium como lo dice su nombre. El tamaño no expresa su calidad de sonido, ya que en realidad son pequeñas más no la calidad del sonido que reproducen. Yo tengo un subwoofer Polk junto con in sistema 7.2 configurado en Dolby atmós 5.2.2 y las tengo cruzadas a 80 hertz, dejando el trabajo de bajo al subwoofer, pues siempre lo he dicho. Si quieres que una bocina te de el máximo, utilízala como debe de ser, para bajeo, usa un subwoofer y para medios y altos usa lo correcto. Tengo como frontales estas SVS prime que son una maravilla para frecuencias medias y altas y para surround tengo nada más ni da menos que un par de monitor audio Bronze 2 que son una joya de bocinas. En conjunto, está SVS prime son el complemento perfecto para hacer que mi sistema de 5mil dólares suene como uno hi-end de 50 mil dólares. Saludos

Gran Calidad

Más que una reseña es una pregunta para Amazon México: la descripción del producto en la página tiene contradicciones. Por un lado se menciona que el acabdo es Ash y en el título dice Gloss, adicionalmente (y muy importante) es que en español siempre hablan de Torre (singular) pero en la descripción del producto mencionan 'Pair'.Cuál es la descripción correcta? Es acabdo gloss o ash? El precio indicado es por un torre o por el par como típicamente se ofrecen este tipo de bocinas???Gracias.
