Probably the most useful screwdriver I own.
Love this screwdriver. Very robust and heavy duty. So many different uses that I canโt name them all. Use to split stuff, pry with, use handle in to tap stuff with, remove old boxes, staples, knock outs, etc. etc. very handy screw driver.

Very tough awl
This awl is pretty tough, and I imagine that it will hold up. The shaft is smoother (polished) and thicker than other awls I have. The shaft tapers from the handle to about 1/8 inch near the point. It then is beveled at about 45 degrees to the point. This makes the shaft and point more durable, but also makes it more difficult to start a screw hole by hand, or to follow a straight edge for scribing. You will want to have something on hand to tap the handle to make it easier to start holes. A pair of LPs or channel locks will work, you don't need a hammer. Fortunately, the metal cap on the handle makes that easy. I've been using it on old construction and very dense old growth wood. On newer construction, tapping may not be necessary. No problems on drywall. In the shop I prefer a pointier awl, but this one is better suited for the unexpected, so it will stay in my pouch. Even though a more slender shaft works better for a scratch awl, I noticed that klein did not print "scratch awl" on the product label. Klein calls it a "punch/awl". Now I understand the shape of the point. For this reason I think it deserves 5 stars - as a scratch awl maybe less.

Very solid awl
Nice solid awl, but very thick. Only can be used for certain applications where thickness wonโt interfere. If handled properly it feels like it should last a while.

Tough tool, excellent quality
Tough tool, excellent quality, wide variety of uses if you need to destroy or dismantle things. I have used it on several different kinds of surfaces, concrete, wood, metal, and to accomplish several different kinds of tasks, to clean cracks in concrete or gouges in metal or to remove staples and embedded screws or nails. I have even lodged it between pieces of wood to hold some wire fencing in place. It has performed every job without a hitch. This is a tough, rugged tool, however, and not designed for finer, more delicate work.

QUALITY UNCOMPRIMISED
This demolition scratch awl is all you want it to be. Bulletproof durability, precise manufactured tooling, ergonomically perfect, corrosion resistant and the go to punch awl whether you want to make a mark or begin destroying something. So far, the tip has been impervious to distortion and I use it all the time. I am an advocate, mostly, of Klein hand tools and this is no exception. Minus one star because I believe it's a little high priced but, sometimes, this being one of them, you do get what you pay for.

Durable
Use this a bit as a locksmith when things don't go as smooth as planned. Has been used to bash half drilled locks off, only a small deformation at the end after a lot of hammering. Has punched a hole through a lock before and needed to use a demo screw driver to finish because the point held up and went through.

Solid tool
Wish it had a little sharper angle on the tip, but it's a solid Klein tool!

Very tough
Most awls break merely by being threatened with a hammer, but not these! The full shank design with the hammer cap works well. Punches holes in 18 gauge steel with minimal difficulty.

Love Klein Grips
The rubber grip on Klein screwdrivers are really worth the extra cost, this is no exception. As a punch/scratch awl I have only used a few times but it seems to hold up well. The grip puts it on a different level from other I have used.

Excellent Made in U.S.A quality
You can abuse this thing and it loves it. Very handy. Good value. A little more money than even a Klein regular scratch awl but just much more versatile.
