I am very glad I bought this..
This really is the perfect go to for spot leveling your frets. You could use a small flat file, sandpaper and a stick etc, but this thing is nice, spot on, and makes quick work when you have a few unlevel frets to contend with. This,a decent leveling beam and crowning file or 3 sided file, along with a notched straight edge and a few sheets of sandpaper "say 500 to 1000 grit, some fret erasers or micro mesh cloth for fine polish and you are on your way to perfect fretwork. You might want to pick up a regular fret rocker as they are cheap and good to have an extra, although the frettkisser is also a fret rocker. The stewmac z file, music nomad s file, and fret guru dagger are all top notch crowning files BTW.

It did what and how I expected.
The product is well made and does the job. You can’t ask for more than that! Steve Shears

Another great guitar tool from StewMac!
I buy more guitars than I should (according to my wife), usually used ones. It's rare that they don't need some fret touch up. (New ones need it too!) The Fret Kisser is perfect for spot leveling. I'm using this along with a Z-File for crowning (and micro-mesh sanding pads for polishing). The Fret Kisser is much easier than what I used to do with a sanding stick. Highly recommended. Is it worth the cost? Yes, it's worth it!

Great made tool
If you only have a few frets out of whack, this tool’s for you. If you need a complete fret leveling need get a sanding bar. For what this costs you’ll come out better getting a quality beam. The problem I have with it is that the fret divots didn’t line up with an RG550 and the diamond grinder goes edge-to-edge of each fret slot. That’s completely unnecessary. I wound up scuffing the sides of the two frets the high fret was between. Plus the slots are very shallow which makes it hard to see where the grinding edges are. I mark mine with a marker at the fret slots to overcome that. Overall good tool but needs a slight redesign in my opinion.

Pricey but nice. Wait for a sale.
I was pretty hesitant given the price, but I snagged one on Black Friday for a good deal and I’m glad enough to have it. Nice solid weight, and a good quality all in all. Has a really nice weight to it, which is nice in a file I think. En though it’s honestly pretty rare that you find a handful of high frets without a few extra low ones dictating a total fret level anyway, for those rare times it’s nice to have a fool proof tool to use.

Opps should have ordered this years ago
Man what have I been doing without this for so long. I have several tools I have to use to do what this one item does, and does far better than the other tools, to boot! Def pic one of these up if you are having fret problems. Easy to use and very handy.

Awesome Fret Leveler and very durable.
This is a very beefy tool. The edges are nice for leveling frets and checking to see if there is any change in elevation. With the reputation of Stew Mac behind this tool it is a must need for any guitarist who likes to work on their own guitars. The thickness is ideal and far superior to any of the other fret rockers out there. The price is comparable with what you get in the sturdiness of this tool. I have had great success with checking and leveling frets.

Excuse me while, I kiss my frets!
Whether you are a professional luthier, think you are a professional luthier, or you are just a guitar loving DIY-er, this is a must have tool! Instead of hitting and scratching 5 or more frets with a conventional file leveler, this tool allows you to isolate a single fret in a single small spot. Genius!!! I recently purchased a high-end electric (I won’t name drop…all manufactures are all guilty). There was a high spot on the second fret, but only affecting the G and the B, that exposed itself once the neck was straightened out. I first tried to press it in…nothing. Then I tried to tap it in with a tool I made years ago out of a file handle and a hard rubber chassis foot…nope. Then, I waited a day to get my Stu-MAC Fret Kisser, 5 minutes later, no more buzz! Finished the job using a fret board protector, and then 400 >>> 8000 grit sanding sticks. Finally I applied Maguire’s “SRATCH” remover to polish the fret. PERFECT!!! No other frets had to be touched. WOW! Just buy it :)
