VISEMAN 36 Inch Under Door Stopper-Door Noise Blocker, Double Sided Door Stopper, Machine-Washable

Product was sent with 6 small pieces of styrofoam, which I had to cut down to fit my door. I made the outside one a little longer to make sure it covered the whole threshold. I wish the styrofoam was in a larger diameter so that it fit tighter around the door. It seemed a little loose so I added rubber bands around the two styrofoam pieces, under the door, so that it pulled the styrofoam closer together. Works perfectly now! Would also help for those that mentioned it slides around. I really like the soft material as it slides nicely on the wood floor.

love love love! Sooo easy to install and make the perfect width of my smaller than average front door with the widest gap possible, I didnt think anything could stop the draft and keep my central air conditioning inside, but it works perfectly! Had it cut down to size and under my door in minutes and slides nice and smooth even over my thin front door mat. Beautiful fold over velcro edge closure makes it pretty and not an eyesore so I dont have to worry about my condo association giving me a hard time since half has to be outside the door. Its so blended we can't even tell its there ourselves but have actually noticed it being generally cooler in our apartment and noise from hallway is much less. Such a great price too. Seriously just get it you won't be dissapoinmed, just measure your door first in case its bigger than average (not sure how big that would be but this was bigger than our door atleast) :P

I bought this door stopper in 2 colors (velvet coffee & nylon/cotton coffee), because I wasn't sure what was going to look better with all the competing brown tones in my kitchen. The construction of each is identical, as is the quality (which is decently good). Right out of the package, I preferred the look of the nylon/cotton, as the tweed pattern looks more high quality than the velvet. However, once I tried them out on my doors, I actually preferred the solid brown velvet, as it blended in better with my trim. The foam tubes were super easy to install and trim. The only complaint I have is that, if your door is much shorter than 36", the velcro that holds down the opening flap is totally in the wrong spot. The flap itself needs to have velcro on it, not the opposite side. As a result, I ended up having to use some double sided tape. If I were better at sewing, I'd just add some new velcro. I'm hoping it holds up. Other than that, I'm happy with these.

This replaced an older one originally from a much narrower door that was temporarily being used. The old one was too short by several inches on each side but still dampened sound going from inside my unit to the hallway a little bit. Everyone in my building uses these to prevent sounds escaping into the hall. I honestly doubted that the wider one would dampen much more than the old one. I didn’t think a gap of 2-3 inches would leak that much sound. The main reason I purchased a new one was that after ~8 years of use at a different home (as a draft stopper and not for sound) the nylon cover on the old one was finally getting thin and thready on the bottom. So I figured I may as well now get the right size too! The cover (a brown tweed knit) is much nicer and thicker than the old one’s thin “windbreaker” nylon. It looks as if it will be more durable and it is, simply put, very attractive, a little bit upscale. I was surprised that it also dampened much more of the sound now that the full width of the door is covered. I am simply using it placed directly under the door. I didn’t attach it with adhesive. The door opens into my unit over an LL Bean brand water hog mat, see photo. I was a little worried it might hang up on the mat and make it hard to open the door but so far it hasn’t. I’m pleased with this purchase. Note: I’m not saying this item blocks sounds to a “not audible at all” level. It’s not a complete sound block. It muffled the sounds of tv, music, conversation to a murmur when you are about 3 ft outside the door. I later also added 1/8 inch thick neoprene foam around the inside of the door frame. With both these items now in place you have to be standing right at the door itself and be listening closely to hear murmuring. It’s an effective combination for me.

The product does help a little with each of the areas: Reducing noise, privacy by blocking out light so no one can tell you have your light on in the room, prevents the door from swinging open due to the light friction against the floor, and it does minimize cold drafts or air leaks in general. While the cut-to-length was easy, I thought they could have done a better job to provide a tighter fit against the door on either side -- the space or gap between the two rollers is slightly too wide and they could have made the fabric elastic to pull itself against the door on either side for a tighter, cleaner fit. There was also not enough velcro to neatly tuck away the excess fabric after cutting the foam rollers to length (shorter for my door). ** BONUS FOR ME: Don't throw out the two pieces of foam rollers that you cut off. I used mine an under foot massager by putting them on the floor and rolling them with my feet. It's relaxing

Bought this for a bedroom to keep cat from pawing under the door. It was not the easiest to put together. I had to cut the foam to size and even then it was not correct sizing. The fabric that covers the foam is nice and matches our decor. We are not able to use this though because our wild beast of a cat attacks it everytime it is on the door. If you don't have a wild animal like ours in the house it will work as intended.

Works as described. Cut down on hallway noise and better temperature control in my suite.

Very fiddly to cut to length and not sure it will be good value or last well due to this.

Works fine on my wood floor for bedroom door. Easy to adjust. Keeps things quiet so my wife can sleep in.
