I don't know how to buy lightbulbs anymore. And the advice to examine the socket to see what wattage it recommends doesn't work when you're just barely tall enough to screw the bulb in and aren't getting out a ladder so you can climb up with your phone light and see what useless thing it says. If you are looking for four bulbs you can put in a ceiling fan that will, together, give you a reasonably well-lit 200 square foot space with warm but not yellowish light, this is for you. You will not be able to perform surgery on the coffee table, and you might want an additional lamp if you're of a certain age and reading smaller print, but it is perfectly adequate, average overhead lighting.

GE itself is a company that I grew up with in the late sixties. Fast forward to 2026, and my family and I are still using their products. They're dependable, responsible, and will always be our family go-to products. Thank you, GE, for all the products you have produced over many years.

Some good lightbulbs

I needed a real dimmable bulb. I’ve relied on the GE SoftWhite bulbs for ages. They don’t vary them in my area any longer. I just can’t read with an LED bulb at night. This is so much better in my bedside lamp. It’s a nice warm light and it’s mellow on my pages. What more could you ask for?

It seems to be an average bulb

I've always trusted the GE brand when it comes to anything electrical, these bulbs did not disappoint.

I need more light and these are perfect. I have wet MD and these help a lot.

Only had the bulb in use about a month, but it hasn't died or exploded. I love how these bulbs stay cool to the touch. They're great for lighting a desktop, maybe not so great for lighting an entire room. I'm sure they're very efficient.
