When I do my daily walk/hike, I carry water. Until now, I was using a small thermos in my back pocket, which was a big bulge. This is more comfortable. After several weeks, I have had no bad taste, no corrosion, no discoloration. The larger cap makes filling easy. Notes: (1) This holds 8 ounces (1 cup). (2) It's handsome and sturdy. (3) The shape is not flat like a usual flask. If you look at this flask from above, or below, the side with the cap is 1-1/4 inch wide, while the other side, where you might hold it, is just 1 inch wide. This is to accommodate the larger than usual opening. It surprised me, but it's comfortable in my back pocket.

I purchased this as a gift for my husband. We've bought him a few flasks over the years and they either dented easily or leaked. This is true Stanley quality- the old Stanley. You know, the giant coffee thermos your dad or grandpa had that lived forever. Very happy with this purchase. My husband really liked the wide mouth on it as well compared to the other flasks he had. Said it made it easier to fill without making a mess.

Seems sturdy. Doesn't leak. Cap is a little fiddly sometimes. Wish it came with a funnel, but otherwise pretty good flask

8 ounces is not a lot of water, so this is not a replacement for a canteen to take on a hike. That said, it is solidly put together and fits comfortably into a pocket. I did not have trouble with the lid.

This is a nice flask and holds Some Sipping Tequila very nicely. I would recommend it

Used this on a hike in Kananaskis this past summer, hauling some amaretto for 12km to enjoy at the campsite for the day. I tied it to a tree and dropped it in the lake to stay cool; several hours later when I fished it out, it had sealed perfectly. Since then it's stayed in my cabinet, still partially filled. When I opened it recently, air rushed in due to being at a lower elevation than this summer's campsite. As such I'm quite confident that the seal is essentially perfect. It's heavy as all heck, obviously - it's a metal flask. But for weekend trips or more general use, it's a great piece of gear. I have zero concerns that this will leak in my pack even if I accidentally put it in upside-down.
