Prime R2D4-10 Single R2 10” 4-Ohm DVC Subwoofer - 250 Watts RMS / 500 Watts Peak

I purchased 2 of these 10" subs to give my 96' Plymouth voyager some more bass along with 2 6.5" and 2 6 by 9 Rockford Fosgate Prime series speakers I have the subs running off of a Haffler MSE80di amp bridged in parallel in a dual single center port box facing the inside of the rear hatch and they rock! Way more thump than I was expecting for what I paid. I have to fix my rear view mirror every few minutes because it vibrates out of place. They are tough too. Built like high end Rockford equipment. I have bottomed out the voice coil multiple times in the process of tuning them and they still thump like crazy. I am completely satisfied. In my photo you see the board in the port - just a divider for the subs to run with individual ports for slight sound quality improvement. Hope this helps!

Went from a cheap single voice coil to this setup on the same Alpine mono amp. Hits much harder without even changing settings on the amp or head unit. This unit is perfect and I may never feel the need to upgrade again.

Good sub for the right price. Does not require too big of a sealed box to get some nice pounding bass. I use one for my older Grand prix. The others subs I have used is the Dayton Audio HO. Their really is no comparison to the Dayton Audio. The Dayton Audio just out of the box you can tell it is a big very heavy well put together sub. The Dayton Audio sounds great and hits much lower in even a smaller box then the Rockford Fosgate but the comparison is unfair since the Dayton Audio cost almost 4 times as much. You would expect it to be a much better sub. My other sub was an Infinity Sub. The Infinity required a slightly bigger box then the Rockford Fosgate but hit a little bit lower. For the money though it is hard to beat the Rockford Fosgate. It does not require much power to get the bass started. It sounds even better after a brief break in period. I can recommend and would not hesitate to buy it again. RME

I don’t normally trust amazon electronic/audio purchases. This was clearly not straight from Rockford based on original packaging, to be expected from a 3rd party. RF box was ROUGH. But upon visual inspection, woofer looked fine, leads and voice coil all in tact. Has been goin strong for 3 months. Lot of punch in a small 10” package. Shallow sub, smaller driver. I’m impressed!

Rockford Fosgate never lets me down. I used to have two punch p2's that were over 10 years old. Removed both from my old vehicle and installed one in my truck, it still worked fine but shattered the plastic dust cover on the cone, installed the second one and same happened after a few months(the plastic was old and yellowed by the sun) Anyways, come to find out that the current p2's are too deep to install in my tiny truck box so i decided to give this little prime sub a shot since it would fit and was only 50 bucks. Man for an entry level sub I'm very impressed. Mind you that it doesn't hit nearly as hard, get to the low lows, and isn't as loud overall as my old p2's. But oh boy am I happy with this thing. I will continue to exclusively buy rockford and only rockford. I run punch 6.5s in my doors, punch 4x6s in the rear, and this sub is powered by the newest model of the prime 500x2 amp wired up in 2 ohms. If rockford made head units I'd buy that too.

This is an Outstanding Speaker at any price, Ive used these RF subs for decades, and have never been disappointed, now they have this Prime 10 inch sub for under 50 bucks, that by itself if installed properly, is plenty for any system...let alone if you use two, youll be very impressed...Sturdy, clean, with great terminals, nicely finished speaker surround ring, and a sound thats tight and deep, you cant go wrong with this product.

Speaker was dead on arrival. Right away I could tell something was up when I felt a crunchiness when depressing the cone. The sub looked great, but that’s about it. This was used very good alright 😕

Had Rockford Fosgate growing up....so needless to say 20 years later when I was considering putting subs in my car Rockford Fosgate was the only choice! Wow, all I have to say is 1 sub woofer today sound like 2 subs from back in the day (mid 80's-early 90's) This thing hits so hard in the back of my Prius! (which I think its just awesome to have boom in a Prius, LOL!!) Great sub, would definitely recommend!!!

I was considering this one or the skar audio 10 inch… I chose this one because I am only running about 250 W rms at 2ohms. subwoofer sounds great for adding low bass with great SQ. So far loving it and I’m sure it will open up after burn-in period. After a number of hours of play… this sub is very musical and kicks hard in a (small/ shallow) sealed box. Happy with purchase. I’ve ordered a steel grill to protect it:) Fits well in the new ‘22 civic hatchback.
