The printer doesn’t work.Not power on

A very nice little receipt printer. Fast, reliable, easy to set up. At under $150 it is cheap compared to other receipt printers. What's there not to like???

I purchased this printer (Model # C31CB10061) believing it was the same printer as the more expensive printer Model # C31CB10021. The ad does not readily give the model number. This printer comes with only a serial port and if you have a newer computer chances are you don't have a serial port. The better model #C31CB10021 has the USB port that I need. I won't mention the seller at this time since I am waiting for a response on the return. I did try a serial to USB adapter and the unit would not respond. So I possibly may also have a DOA.12/26/2013 UPDATE and going from one star to three stars. A little help from my knowledgeable friend and my printer is now operating. The additional cost of the adapter and the frustration doesn't save you any money and if you spring for the more expensive model you get much more versatility when connecting to your computer. I purchased the unit from AZDeals. Shipping was fast and they did respond quickly to my request to return. However, after reading their return policy I decided to get the adapter and do what was necessary to get the printer working. The lesson here is when you're not dealing directly with Amazon be sure to read the return policy. AZDeals policy seem to have to many gotchas (send it back, I'll stick it to you). So that said, the printer is operating just like an Epson receipt printer.
