Great taste and price

Tastes better than the individual servings bags. In my legacy Mr Coffee machine, I can get 10-12 cups with 1/8 cup measure. Barry's brand doesn't have the 'tang/bitter' taste like Lipton.

I normally buy Yorkshire Gold loose leaf tea, but Barry’s is much smoother and better all-around. I tried it out when it was similarly priced, and I much prefer it, but I’m too cheap to pay twice as much as my Yorkshire Gold, and that’s what it’s been going for for at least the last year or so. I just wish it was typically available at a reasonable price with free shipping. If it were, it would be my go-to daily drinker. There is one seller that has it well priced, but the shipping on one box doubles the cost. If you buy four or five boxes, you get free shipping. I’ll likely do that once I go through my current supply of tea.

I’ve seen several comments about how the tea looks. It appears to be rolled into little balls to me. When brewed, they unfurl. There has only been maybe less than a teaspoon of tea dust in the very bottom of the bag, and I have gone thru several bags. Which is quite acceptable to me, and understandable, given that it endures international shipping, and is a dry plant product. Flavor is very fruity, mild, pleasant and malty to me. But I am not a tea connoisseur, just a tea lover. MY method of brewing: Heat a 10 oz. Yeti cup with handle, Pour out about a half teaspoon of Barry’s tea into a Finum mesh brewing basket. Set it in the cup. Gently pour boiling water through basket. Lift basket up a couple of times until the color of tea is what I want. Remove basket. It may be possibly used again for another cup, depending on how much tea is in the basket. You can instantly SMELL it’s pleasing aroma. I do NOT get a strong tannin taste, unless I leave the tea sitting in the water too long. I drink mine plain, without milk and it is perfect for me. I think this brand is better than Taylor’s Gold. And definitely better than (not comparable to) anything I have tasted from USA stores. I have been in a long search for the perfect tea, and have found it here.

I have been drinking Barry's for perhaps the better part of ten years now, the loose leaf specifically for the last three or four, and I have never loved a tea more. It's exactly what I need to get my day started. I usually take my tea with just a splash of milk, though occasionally I will add a nip of sugar if I feel like it as I'm not very fond of tea that is overly sweet. It's a favorite with all my children too! When I make tea for the family, I like to let the tea brew in a glass measuring cup before I strain it out and pour it into our pot. I ask my younger children if they want to see the tea leaves 'dance'. I give it a stir and it's so fun to their little faces light up watching the tea leaves spin around and fall down to the bottom. If you're like me and like a good, strong blend of tea, or if you need to make a switch from coffee to give you the same wake up energy without the negative side effects coffee gives, give Barry's a try--especially the loose leaf. Barry's teabags are great for when you're in a rush(hello morning hustle), but if you have the time, bring back the ritual of brewing loose leaf tea. It's a nice practice to remind you to slow down and enjoy the little things, like 'dancing' tea leaves.

I discovered this tea while vacationing in Ireland and searched for a source in the U.S. as soon as I returned home. This is now my weekday morning tea. There are better (i.e. more expensive) teas, but I save them for weekends and special occasions. I like my tea strong. I brew it for 6-7 minutes with 212 degree water and I find it to be strong but not bitter. It holds up well if you use milk in your tea. Amazon has just recently started carrying it and they are cheaper than any other source that I know of. I just want to know why Amazon ships a 6" x 3-1/4" x 2-1/2" (48.75 cubic inches) package of tea in a 16" x 12" x 5-1/2" (1056 cubic inches) carton. This is not the first time I've received something in a box much larger than the item shipped. Guess that's why our Prime membership cost has risen to $99.

This tea when used properly can be used to cleans the kidneys because of the amount of tannins. Nice dark tea, beautiful flavors, therapeutic quality. Recommend!

Love Barry's Loose Leaf Tea, especially the Gold Blend! I made a pot of this tea for my friend from the UK, and he said it invoked childhood memories of teatime back home. I will not use any other brand of tea -- this is the best!

Barrys Tea is full bodied and really satisfying. I can't get it where I live and am so glad it can be ordered. Usual supermarket teas are just not as good.

Barry's Tea speaks for itself, it' a grand cuppa when it's the real thing. I have no complaints about the tea that I received from amazon, seems to be the genuine thing. Water quality can affect the taste of tea. It is worth knowing that Barry's tea may taste better when brewed in harder water.
