Apache Laminating Pouches 5 mil, for 8.5 x 11 inch Letter Size Paper 9 x 11.5 inch Sheets, 100 Pack

Excellent pouches. They seem as good as the 3M letter-sized pouches I have.

I do a great deal of laminating (as in, I have purchased and used over 700 pouches of multiple brands over the past 3 months). While I have not found huge differences between laminating pouches, such that I would rethink my preferences in light of big price differences, Apache 5 mil pouches are currently my favorite type. Given that they are usually among the least expensive 5 mil pouches, they are a "no-brainer" purchase, in my view. (I should add that I put my $$$ where my mouth is on these; I am about to put in an order for 3 more packs, after buying 3 in the last two months) I don't have any "Cons" for them, but here are the "Pros": 1) Bright and crystal clear once laminated. Not cloudy or dark (as some pouches are) in the slightest. These pouches make colors "pop" more than the competition. 2) I have a strong preference for 5 mil laminating pouches for most things; however, some brands are rock hard and knife like on the edges. The Apache laminating pouches retain the slightest bit of flexibility, which is helpful because the rock hard pouches often stay bent into a warped position. That happens less often with these. 3) The corners are rounded just at the right level. It is subtle -- you wouldn't really notice that they are rounded when looking at them. But non-rounded corners on 5 mil pouches are downright dangerous for kids. These are kid (and adult) safe, at least to the extent that 5 mil lamination ever can be. ************************************************ BOTTOM LINE: As long as these are among the least expensive 5 mil laminating pouches, buy them for sure. And even if they are a few dollars more at some point, they might still be worth considering on the basis of quality. ************************************************

I purchased these 5 mil pouches at the same time that I purchased the Apache AL9 9" Thermal Laminator and 20 Laminator Pouches . I have been greatly pleased with both purchases. These pouches are very thick and do not crinkle at all as they're being fed through the laminator. The 3 mil sheets that came with the laminator did crinkle if wasn't very careful. I suppose this is because they're much thinner, therefore, more fragile. As far as the feel after lamination, I also preferred the 5 mil. Again, it just feels more sturdy and able to withstand a lot of use, and abuse if the final product is meant for little ones to use or a lot of people to handle. None of the pages I've laminated are showing any sign of damage or wear and tear over the last couple of months that I've been using these. Overall, I'm very pleased with these sheets. I use these to keep track of equipment condition/ repairs needed and cost with custom forms I developed for tracking them. I use a wet erase pen from Staedtler (the best IMO) and these two items (tools really) allow me to keep track of and manage the ever changing inventory. Love the laminating sheets for their durability and clarity and reusability. I clean them daily to weekly most of the time - as the equipment clears the shop. These sheets work great! Thanks. Wish list: Make a thin metal strip (High in iron content) that could be laminated with the paper to use magnets with - to both hold a pen and hang it on a magnetic tool holder/white board.

We used to use 5 mil pouches for menus, then they become thinner although the spec still stated 5 mil. We then switched to 7 mil for thickness and consistent quality. A couple months ago we tried Apache laminating pouches for the first time; we really like the thickness, the clarity and the pricing so we have placed another order since. To get the satisfactory result at 7 mil thickness, we set the temperature of our laminator at 378F. Even at this temperature we usually feed the laminating items through the laminator 2 to 4 times. You will need a commercial-grade laminator which can produce enough heat for use with laminating pouches with thickness above 3 mil.

Item was shipped very quickly and is of good quality. Seems to work well and easy to use.

I've used various Apache laminating sheets and pouches and they perform just as well as name-brand sheets but for a lower price point. I've been happy with each purchase, and will continue to order them! I've used the pouches to laminate PVC badge cards and the sheets for workbook/planner covers. Everything has come out great, no complaints!

These are better than the 5ml Scotch brand laminating sheets and you get way more for the price! These are clear, with no bubbles, and even though they are 5ml (just like the Scotch brand) they feel thicker and more durable. These will last me quite awhile. If you only need half a sheet laminated, you have cut the pouches in half. If you are having trouble with your laminator bunching, try loading the pouches standing behind your laminator machine. You can see better if you are loading it to one side. Also, make sure your machine is hot before loading!

I received my pouches today, 3 packs, 4x6 , 5x7 and the larger 9.5 x 11 I believe. Very good quality. I recently just bought a laminator and am having a fantastic time doing photos and letters and other documents. The store I bought my laminator at, their pouches were super expensive. These were a great quality and arrived very fast after ordering them. The only thing, the 4x6 plastic wrap had opened and some of the glue got on some of the pouches, so I had to clean them really well. Other than that, fantastic. I will be a repeat customer.
