SHANY Boutique 40 Colors Eye Makeup Palette Highly Pigmented Long Lasting Matte Shimmer Neon Eyeshadow Palette

Being a makeup hobbyist for just a few years (in between a novice and intermediate level in makeup knowledge), I've been on and off with makeup that has been hyped up to be something so good, but ended up being the opposite for me, after paying so much for them (such as Too Faced, since their eyeshadow palettes always have hits and misses for a high price) . I realized at one point that hyped up, fancy packaging, and/or pricey makeup does not always equal good quality. I decided to give Shany a try after watching some YouTube videos about their eyeshadow palettes and viewing swatch pictures online. Shany is seriously an underrated brand, and I feel like Shany's eyeshadow palettes are on top of both drugstore and high end brands when it comes to minimal fallout while having decent pigmentation, blendability, and anti-patchy eyeshadows. This palette in particular opens doors from an everyday look to a glam look with warm colors, olive greens, subtle purples, and the standard silver to black shimmery foils and mattes. I appreciate the standard mirror and extra completely standard sponge applicators. Best of all, the price of 14-15 usd for 88 eyeshadows is a steal for the formulation and quality of these eyeshadows. I truly do believe that the Shany staff test out the eyeshadows before these palettes are sold. Pros: -Anti crack/non patchy -Creamy and buttery formulation -Very easy to blend -Color payoff noticeable without primer, even more noticeable with primer -A dupe for many high end eyeshadow palettes hyped up on social media - Makeup hobbyist friendly -Won't make your bank upset, especially if you're a college student like me -A wide variety of looks can be achieved with this wide range of colors and finishes (shimmery foils, subtle sparkles, mattes) Cons: I would say none at all, unless instant high pigmentation is a must for you. Some mattes take some minimal layering, but it is only minimal layering. I personally prefer this formulation because I like to control the intensity of matte colors and the formulation prevents fallout. I feel like Shany's eyeshadow palettes are great for makeup enthusiasts of all levels, as well as makeup professionals to theatrical makeup professionals. And Shany is the go-to brand especially if your budget is tight (like mine) but you want good quality makeup to use and experiment with! P. S. - Shany, please make some new eyeshadow palettes with more highly pigmented shimmery foils with whimsical/bold colors! That would be awesome as well!

Wow.. just wow. I picked the "Frustration Free packaging" and this thing was packaged like it was a shipment of Faberge babies- bubble wrap and Fragile stickers all around. The case is heavy and sturdy too- so people who's items arrived broken? I can only imagine that someone at the post office not only dropped them, but stomped on them during shipment, because mine is sturdy compared to most palette packaging. On opening, not a fleck of shadow out of place-- and the colors are just gorgeous- some are matte, some shimmery= ALL incredibly bright and vibrant. The shadow is very silky to the touch, and high pigment. You can definitely use this without a primer. The colors are vibrant. They blend smoothly. They retain their color and vibrancy all day... all night.. if I go to sleep without washing it off? It's STILL BRIGHT when I wake up in the morning. Really, this stuff is brilliant. I've never had a palette so full of amazing colors that actually were true to what they looked like before being applied that didn't require primers-- but the bold palette? ZOMG it's amazing. Plus- I'm someone with very sensitive eyes. I have spent my life fighting watery eyes and never being able to figure out what exactly it was that caused it. Whatever it is that they do or don't put in Shany shadows? MY EYES DON'T WATER endlessly like they used to. The shadows are very gentle, and, oh, I can't rave enough about how in love I am with these- other than to tell you that within a week or so of buying my first palette I went in and bought a second one- they have won my loyalty on all fronts. All in all? I'd say if you're looking for a bright palette that isn't too expensive that has just about every (non-earth tone) color you could imagine? This certainly covers every shade in the rainbow. Plus? It has "RED" reds in it- not "pink red" not "orange red" but actual "RED reds"- which is always difficult to find.

I ordered the SHANY Natural Fusion Eyeshadow pallet, and I was very happy with my order. The colors are great and exactly what I wanted. There are really wonderful day time shadows that are neutral but still really beautiful. And at the same time, there are great night time shadows that are also vibrant. The circles are about the size of a dime, maybe a little bigger. However the colors are so pigmented that a little goes a long way. Also there are so many colors, that it would be hard to run out of eyeshadow quickly. I received my order in about 4 days or ordering it, so I did not have to wait too long. As for the condition of the pallet when I got it, it was a little sloppy. There was black powder covering the outside of the whole case, and the black eyeshadow circle was broken and was covering many of the other colors. But you know, I went into this purchase with the knowledge that shipping any type of powder makeup is tricky and often ends badly. So what I did was, because I didn't want the unknown black powder on my hands, I put on rubber gloves and used Windex and paper towels to wipe it off. It was really easy to wipe off and now my case is beautiful, shiny and professional looking. As for the broken eyeshadow all I did was use a can of compressed air to gently blow it off the other colors. It worked great! However if you don't have compressed air, you can gently use a fan brush or be even gentler and use a tissue. I was pleased with this product, and the only reason I gave it a four was because I had to go in and clean the case up a bit. But as I said before, you should know anytime you buy an eyeshadow pallet there is the risk that things are not going to be perfect and clean straight out of the box.

This is my second palette from SHANY. I ordered the runway colors (so beautiful and pigmented!) I wanted some more earth tones, though. So, I decided to come back to the same company that I purchased from before. I'm not disappointed. I'm your run-of-the-mill gal. I never really got huge into makeup. I don't do foundation, rogue, contouring, ect. I just do eye makeup (and I am still learning how to do that). For the longest time, I never realized the difference in any of the eye shadows that I bought. Was it cheap? Did I like the colors? Can I put it on my skin? If it was a yes, I bought it. Most of the time I took the whole "Oh, would you look at that. I have moths flying out of my wallet, better buy a cheap eye shadow palette..." approach to buying most of my makeup. Oh SHANY, how you've opened up my eyes! These pallets are fairly cheap. They are FANTASTIC despite their price. A little goes a long way. And, boy! Do you see the colors. Starting out or going pro? I'd recommend these to either class of makeup-ry. The colors are super pigmented and there are so many to choose from on each palette. Blend beautifully with other eye shadows too. I really cannot find a flaw with them. I love them, to the moon and back. I will (and have many times before) recommend this product to anyone looking to up their makeup drawer with something that is both affordable and beautiful. Thank you. Thank you. It's a great palette! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I wanted the colors to be more opaque, and they are more sheer than I would have liked.

I am not a makeup professional - far from it. I'm just a regular person who loves to play with different colours. This palette really knocks my socks off! I am pleasantly surprised at the great quality of product especially considering the very reasonable price of $19.95. The colours are highly pigmented, blend more smoothly than some of the higher-end eye colours I've purchased recently, and have little to no fallout during application. There is a good mix of matte, metallic, shiny pigments and great ranges of colour within the included shades. One thing I noticed is that the colours don't all stay bright for the whole day. Shadows stayed put and didn't crease or move at all so it's not enough of an issue to cause me to rate it lower; but the pigments did seem to fade halfway through the day, (after probably 5-6 hours I think) to a little bit less than their original glory. (I did not use any base or primer before applying product.) I would like this palette better if both trays of colour were fixed into the palette tray but I can see how this configuration works better for cost effectiveness. The construction is pretty good for the cost, and all pots of colour were intact when it arrived in the mail. One colour pot had come free from the plastic base but is still intact and full. My overall impression of this product is really good, and I would recommend it for anybody who is looking for a great deal on a full palette and doesn't require full colour to last the whole day long.

Very small individual pots but what do you expect! It's a great palette though - I love it! Pigment is excellent and the variety of shades is really useful. I particularly like the 'darker' tones of each colour. I use them with benefit stay don't stray primer and they don't budge all day but don't stain your skin either. Great.

so many colors and great price if you arent ready to buy an expensive palette. worth it for experimenting. easy to wash off. colors last a while, would recommend using primer, having a good base, maybe setting spray.

Value for money great colours

I received this makeup Kit and it is just what I wanted for my trip. It is very compact and love the colours. Hope the colours stay on well on my skin. Look forward to receiving my free gift from Shany!
