Good for PT
Great device, comfortable and works as expected! Ignore what the other reviews say about it not being enough resistance if you want to use it for PT. I think if you’re just looking for heavy resistance, wrist curls with heavy weights would be better. For me it was perfect for exercising my injured wrist

this really works!
overview - during the corona shutdown, I had to start working out at home - I bought parallel dipping bars, a head harness (neck exercises) and this Marcy forearm developer - I hadn't seen this offered anywhere before amazon - reading the reviews, some other buyers said it didn't have enough resistance - so, I bought one and tried it out - this indeed has ample resistance - you can set the range from light to heavy - also the grip distance - I am not using the full max setting - I do 50 reps on the 1st set - then 30 more reps on the 2nd set, with a 3.5 out of 5 setting - believe me, you will 'feel the burn' after working out with these - I liked it so much, I bought a 2nd unit to workout both arms at the same time - I can install and remove both of these units myself - I'm 6'2" and 230 lbs and in excellant physical shape - and these are well matched to my strength level, which should be just fine for most other people - these are big, so smaller arms may not fit comfortably - pros - plenty of variable resistance - padded contact areas - adjustable grip distance - well made, don't feel cheap or breakable - decent price at $20 (I bought 2) - intense forearm and wrist workout! cons - after over a weeks use, I have no negative comments - I highly recommend these to any serious power builder -

Not Shabby At All, but With Caveats.
This isn’t bad for the price. It’s fairly comfortable and it is easy to use; however, like another reviewer stated it does not adjust enough to be much of a challenge for many men. This is absolutely great for women, for older men and women, and for young teenagers until they become a bit too strong for it. This is also EXCELLENT for people who are rehabbing an injury to the forearm, wrist, and/or hand. Even though it doesn’t have the tension required for young to middle-aged men (I’m 46 myself) it DOES work and you can feel a good burn when you do a lot of reps. Set the tension to the tightest setting and do about thirty reps and you will feel your forearms burning. You can use this while you’re watching a movie or reading a book or doing anything that doesn’t require two hands (keep your mind outta the gutter!) and while the tension isn’t fantastic for most men, and certainly a few women, it can be set high enough to give your fingers a good workout. I’m probably going to order a second one so I can just work both forearms, wrists, and fingers at the same time while watching a movie. And if you put on a movie and use this the entire time of the film you WILL feel it working. This will not be good for people who are either very obese (sorry, but at least I’m saving you $25 and saving you from having to return it) or ridiculously muscular forearms because there’s not much room in there. If you take a look at the pictures I took for this review you’ll see that there’s not much wiggle-room in there. I’m a 6’ tall man (or at least I was; now I’m more like a 5’11 cripple with terrible posture) and I weigh about 210lbs with about the average amount of muscle a man my age who is only a casual lifter would have. Like I said earlier it’s not shabby and I actually kinda like it; I just wish that it had two or three times more tension.

Forearm magic!
I absolutely love the Marcy Wedge For Forearm and Wrist. It just works! It fits my forearms perfectly and is easy to use. Forearm flexor muscles are exercised with ease, and it is very simple to turn it over and exercise the forearm extensors as well. It is also fairly simple to turn it 90 degrees one way or the other, and with minimal difficulty exercise the flexor carpi ulnaris and flexor carpi radialis muscles on the sides of the forearms. It is well constructed and works flawlessly. Nothing seems to be wearing out or losing tension despite 4 months of twice daily use. This device sits in my car and gets regular use to the tune of 400 reps per day on most days. The results are nothing short of astounding. My forearms have almost doubled in size and strength. The result for me has been better performance in the crossfit gym where a solid grip on multiple different bars is much needed and highly valued. I combine these exercises with regular use of the GD Hand Gripper, 55-154 lbs. You will love the results and the quality of this device.

Perfect for a novice.
I really like this tool and think it's well made, with the right padding in the right areas. It makes it very comfortable and convenient to workout forearms. And it's an incredible value for $21. Really my only problem with it is the lack of higher resistance... the day I got it, I had to move it to its highest resistance to get a decent workout with 16 reps. So, although I like using it, there is no prospect of growth for me, a lower-intermediate male bodybuilder. For a novice bodybuilder or a woman, this is an excellent device they will be able to use for a long time. I would encourage the manufacturer to make a "pro" version with a higher resistance range.
