My Goldendoodle loves these. Unfortunately they keep him busy for only about 20-30 minutes but that's more about him than a product negative. I do only give him one a week because he has a sensitive stomach. These appear to be of high quality.

These are pretty good bleached rawhide bones for my adolescent hound mix ~40 lbs). He's been chewing a lot and he enjoys raw hides, so we wanted some good raw hides that would keep him engaged and chewing for a while. Once he was finally convinced to gnaw on these, he enjoyed them and spent significant time as they were braided and required his extra attention. My major issue was that they have a chemical (bleached?) smell which neither I nor my little hound enjoyed. I had to wash these off a bit before he became interested (he otherwise digs into good bones). I've had this experience before with bleached raw hides and other dogs and so I wasn't worried about illness or chemicals, but the smell turned us both off. Otherwise, it's worth noting that the product was shipped fast and in great condition.

Dogs really enjoy them. They last quite a bit longer than many other products. Several days minimum. I can't speak to the taste, sorry. They are not as large as I expected, but great size for medium or large sized dogs. Difficult to find "Made in USA" rawhide, even on internet. They are a little more money, but I have heard there is more quality control in the manufacturing process in the US and I like to support local economies, so I'm willing to pay a few extra dollars.

Mixed emotions here. Kudos for being American beef hide and made in America. I haven't found another brand that can say that. But here's my issue...I purchased these because I was very unhappy with the retriever rolls (there were small sharp shards inside the outer roll that were dangerous and downright deadly if a dog swallowed them). The braids don't contain any small or sharp pieces. They are truly 3 long pieces of rawhide braided together, but not nearly as tightly braided as the photo. Once my dog chews a 1/3 to 1/2 down the rawhide, it braid falls apart and you're left with 3 narrow pieces of rawhide. I never leave my dog unattended with a rahwide and while I allow my dog to CHEW them to clean his teeth as the vet recommends, I do not allow him to EAT the rawhide. My vet also recommends that no dog should ingest pieces of rawhide. Number one, it's a choking hazard, and number two, it can cause gastric upset. That being said, I have to throw the rawhide out once it reaches the half way point because it's fallen a part, which is a waste of money. I wish they were braided tighter, because they do keep his teeth extremely clean.

I like this chew because it doesn't smell, my dog absolutely loves them, he chews them for about an hour and he doesn't get sick from eating them. My dogs tummy is Super sensitive so I have to be very careful what I let him eat.

Just like another reviewer wrote, this is a CHOKING HAZARD and should be banned! The braided pieces came apart into separate pieces after a few minutes of chewing on it. My 12 year old cocker spaniel had chewed on one strand for a while and started choking. My wife grabbed the part she could see in her mouth and pulled it out. There was about a 5-6 inch floppy, soggy strand that was down her throat! Thank God we were with her when it happened. This item should not be sold on Amazon. I have never left a review like this before, and I hate leaving it. But other dog owners need to be aware of how dangerous this product is.
