I ordered 2 of these as a Christmas present for my parents and brother. We all have top notch, very sharp knives & it is easy to hurt yourself if the knife slips. I have a smaller version of this, but love the family size version of this salad cutter bowl. You get a perfectly chopped salad safely. Great product. I just ordered another one for my other brother. Simple idea that makes me want to eat more salads ;) Speedy shipping too

I was so looking forward to using this since I eat a lot of salad. Slots not sturdy enough. Maybe it's just me; but I couldn't get it to turn easily to slice the other way. The lettuce turned with the top and so I didn't get correct cut. Maybe I'm not using it correctly. I'll keep trying it and hopefully I'll get more adept at using it.

It’s good but it’s not as sturdy as you think. Doesn’t cut perfectly but it still does most of the job. Good for fast use not if you want everything eventually and cut perfectly.

It somewhat does what it says it should. After 3 turns, tomatoes were not cut up in bite size pieces. Good for lettuce but not great for other veggies. If you look at the pictures, the dark green base was very scarred up and the knife actually cut into the plastic leaving some shreds. I would not give this item as a gift because the base shredding after one use is not a good sign at all.

No instructions, not sturdy, crushes the tomatoes, salad ingredients slide all over, very uneven cutting. COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY!!! Wish I had tried it out sooner when I could have sent it back to Amazon.

We eat a lot of green salad and this looks so easy, I thought I'd give it a try. It is easy to use, but the end result is disappointing. Everything isn't cut up neatly like it shows in the picture. I ordered two because I wanted to send one to my 21-year-old grandson to encourage him to eat more healthy, but I'm not sure he'd like using it. I am returning both Salad Cutter Bowls to Amazon.

I had been cutting a head of lettuce for my salads completely by hand and it is a bit tedious. I learned about this device and ordered it. First time I tried it I got a quick chopped just-right head of lettuce. I cut with the guides then turned the top plastic piece 45 degrees for a cross cut. It wasn't easy or mess free to do this and with a little better design it would be a lot easier. But, I'm pleased as punch. I can now chop up a head of lettuce in a couple minutes that comes out way better than I could free-hand. Cleans up easily.

The bowl didn't work like I had seen on the video. It smashed the tomatoes and didn't cut or dice them at all. Some carrots and celery were not cut/diced. It did chop the romaine lettuce ok. All this said, it also concerned me that when the knife hit the white part of the bowl when chopping it was creating little plastic slivers that I had to be careful did not get in the salad. So...back to the cutting board and chopper i've used for years.

The top doesn't fit properly to the base and keeps sliding off.Not sturdy enough.
