This is one of the best items I've ever purchased ! The Amazon Basics Outdoor Folding Rocking Chair is comfortable - SO comfortable. As for it being "Portable" - perhaps a stronger person than I could carry it from place to place. My rocker sits on my deck - I can move it in the sun and out easily - and I enjoy it in any position. It's well made - the material is easily cleaned - I think that quality is excellent !

I spent a lot of time looking at various patio chairs on Amazon. I wanted a chair that was comfortable, sturdy and long lasting. I also wanted a chair that was not hard on my knees when I get up. I got all of that and more from this chair. In fact, a few days after I ordered one for myself I ordered another one for my husband. The first thing I had to do was to use the clip on the side to lock the chair in position. It was ready to go. I was a little concerned that when I leaned back in the chair it might go back too far and tip over. This does not happen so my fears were not justified. The chair is very comfortable and I love that it is a rocking chair. I have had no problem sitting down or getting out of the chair. So far, I have only used the chairs on the deck. However, this chair is easy to fold and is fairly light if you want to transport it. I like that it made from a steel alloy, as I have had aluminum chairs, in the past, that bent. In addition the fabric seems is made of a material called textilene. I googled and found that textilene Is resistant to sun, UV rays and fading. It is also water permeable, so when it gets wet it dries fast. In other words, I am hopeful that the chairs will last. These chairs have allowed us to use our deck more. They are attractive, comfortable and should last. I highly recommend them. Update: More than one year later, I am still happy with the chairs. I left them on the deck all year and they still look like new. Great buy.

Plenty big and sturdy enough for my 230 lbs. plus clothing. Not squeaky. Comfortable, supportitive pillow. Decent rocking, back and forth range. I waited to file a review until I'd used it for several months, several hours per day, to ensure it held up. Had my doubts about some of the plastic frame hardware, but has not cracked or bent. Great value for money. Only slight negative is one of the metal locknuts backs off every now and then and needs to be screwed back down. I may replace it at some point. Still, would gladly buy again.

These work well and are comfortable. Do not leave these out all year in extreme climates. They can rust on to your deck and the fabric can appear to be brittle. In the winter I leave them covered with other patio furniture. Best if they are under a sheltered space.

I love this chair! It was easy to unfold and refold. The first chair I ordered was a Portal camp chair and it was VERY heavy and difficult to unfold and refold. This Amazon Basics chair is VERY comfortable to sit in and I love how you can rest your feet on the front of the rockers, and the chair seems very stable. It is very easy to get out of too. I had a little trouble locking the chair. I didn't see the clamping device at first, it was folded up in line with the back of the chair frame. It seemed to need to be pushed back to 'catch' on the locking peg. This chair is very sturdy and comfortable. Well worth the price! I was, however, NOT happy with how the carrier left the box so far from our front door, it was very visible from the street and awkward to carry. The box was also damage on one side but thankfully the chair was unmarred. I was unable to write a complaint about that because the usual e-mail was not sent to me about the delivered.

I find evenings out on the deck a great way to relax and unwind. One day I found myself thinking, "the only way this could be any better is if I were in a rocking chair." LIGHT BULB! After looking locally and not finding what I wanted (something that folds for easy storage), I searched Amazon and found this gem! I ordered two, just so I didn't have to give up my seat to friends or visitors. (Yep, smart move--EVERYONE wants to sit in it when they see it.) As far as construction, this product is sturdy, folds easily, is made of quality materials, and is well designed. It is on the same comfort level as any other well-made folding lawn chair. I can easily sit in it for 30 minutes without discomfort. The range of motion can be limited depending on where you place the chair, and might be an issue if you are especially short-legged. On a completely horizontal surface I find the range of motion to be good (I'm 5'4") as does my husband (5'10"). I find that by setting it on a very slight incline (facing uphill) I'm able to get a broader range of rocking. If you face it downhill you could rock onto the assembly piece that holds the front leg to the rocker and it "bumps" or can even bring your rocking to an abrupt stop. However, it's pretty easy to remedy that limitation--just move the chair! I'm very happy with this product and its portability. It is sturdily made so it is not light, but an adult should be able to move it about without much trouble. Folded, it takes up about the same amount of space as a folding lounger-type lawn chair.

J’étais pas certain que ça serait à mon goût après en avoir vu plusieurs et une que j’ai retourné. Vraiment, c’est un peu plus dispendieux que d’autres mais, c’est mieux de payer plus pour en avoir plus. Je suis TRÈS satisfait de cette chaise jusqu’à présent. Elle s’ouvre et se referme facilement. Ce fauteuil à bascule au look sympa est extrêmement confortable et le dos est parallèlement bien maintenu. Très important pour les dos cambrés comme le mien. L’amplitude de la bascule permet de se balancer agréablement, contrairement à ce que disent certains. Il est relativement haut, ce qui procure une sensation plaisante. Il n’y a qu’une position, ce n’est pas gênant car le corps est bien installé. Il se plie très facilement c’est pratique si on a besoin de le ranger rapidement. Attention cependant pour les personnes grandes ou en surpoids : j’ai lu sur la notice que la charge maximale ne doit pas dépasser 200 livres c’est-à-dire 90,7 kg bien que les matériaux soient solides. Très contente de ce fauteuil !

🇲🇽 Llevo bastante tiempo buscando una mecedora portátil, de buena calidad y a un precio razonable. ¡Este rockero no decepcionó! Fácil configuración que cualquiera podría realizar en menos de un minuto. Se incluye una hoja de instrucciones visuales además de una pegatina que muestra la fácil instalación directamente en el mecanismo de bloqueo, lo cual es excelente para esos momentos en que las instrucciones impresas están desaparecidas. Se desliza un poco sobre suelos de cerámica pulida. Un par de tiras de cinta de goma antideslizante autoadhesiva deberían resolver ese problema. Planee comprar un segundo rockero el próximo día de pago en caso de que venga un amigo y podamos rockear juntos :). Ahora, si se mantiene bien durante el próximo año, estaré encantado ***** 🇺🇸 I have been searching for a good quality, portable, reasonably priced rocking chair for quite some time. This rocker did not disappoint! Easy set up anyone could do in less than a minute. Visual instruction sheet included plus a sticker showing the easy setup right at the locking mechanism which is great for those times the printed instructions are MIA. It does slide a bit on polished ceramic tile floors. A couple strips of self adhesive non slip rubber tape should solve that problem. Plan on purchasing a second rocker next payday in the event a friend comes over and we can rock together :). Now if it holds up well over the next year I’ll be “over the moon” pleased *****

This rocking chair is of good construction, great addition to our deck furniture. I'm sure it will last for many years to come.
