Wide variation
This book is great. It has a wide variation of math from adding, subtracting, word problems, telling time, learning about money and so much more. I got this for my rising 2nd grader to help him get a head start on 2nd grade which starts in about 3 weeks, but also to refresh his memory from 1st grade. It is easy to understand and lots of fun to do. Iโm glad I purchased this book.

Perfect to prevent the "summer slide"
I purchased this for my 7 year old who will go into 2nd grade in the fall. Math has not been his strong suit and I needed something to help me help him. We've only done the first several pages, but it's keeping him engaged. It is reinforcing what he's already learned in first grade while still challenging him enough where he doesn't get discouraged. If he needs more repetition I can put similar practice problems in a notebook for him to do. It's allowed me to see what his strengths are and where he needs improvement. I also have to say I like the quality of paper this company uses. I've purchased other workbooks from this brand before and it holds up from heavy-handed erasures. Other workbooks use thin paper where it either tears easily or it's almost transparent.

Good 1st Grade Math Reinforcement.
Good workbook for 1st graders. There is a variety of different problems from basic multiplication and subtraction with 1-3 digit numbers, word problems, time, shapes and measurements. Some areas Iโm not a fan of but I assume they have a place because I see similar things my son is working on as part of his school work.

these books are easy to understand
I have all of the School Zone math workbooks from Grade K through 6th, including the Fractions and Math Puzzles. For any child who needs brushing up on math, particularly during the summer, or extra help understanding a concept that was taught too quickly in a classroom, these books are easy to understand. As a homeschooling mom of a very "visual" learner, the color pages and fun examples make math less of a chore, and the workbooks can stand alone, unlike some workbooks where they are meant to be a worksheet to accompany a lesson from a textbook or other. These workbooks can be given to a child to do on their own, as the instructions are at the top of each page and an example. I have also found, while grading the work, that the answer key is predominantly correct. I have only found a few instances where the answer key is wrong, and it was only one answer or an entire row of answers was missing. Obviously, at this level, I am able to determine the correct answer myself.

Nice activities. Keeps kids intrested
Nice activity book. My son is a bit special becuase he is a learning sponge. He is 4 and a half and he knows additinmon, subtraction and he knows how read and spell in english and spanish. I know many will say this is grate but is also a big challenge when it comes to keep then intrest. Now that there is no preschool he has been asking for school activities but most pre-school books are way to basic for his level. These book is very good!!! The level is for a 1st grade and it has lost of spelling activities. We also both the basic math of the same brand and he is loving then. We also bought the spanish 1st grade activity book form Carson Dellosa and he is living that one too. So very satisfy!!!

Goes over 2nd grade concepts well
This has been a great book for my son. He has always been at the top of his class and I got this for him when all the COVID stuff happened so he could continue to work at home. He was at the end of 1st grade and he was able to complete this entire workbook with ease. There were some new concepts that he had to learn, such as adding and subtracting with borrowing, but he picked up on the concepts quickly and the workbook was able to give him the extra practice and lessons I was looking for.

Fun, practical and affordable!
This workbook is wonderful. It is very easy to follow and does not skip ahead too quickly. It allows the child to continue to build on their understanding with practice that is fun and enjoyable! The workbook is also a very reasonable price for the amount of printed pages and quality.

Easy to follow
Fantastic workbook that allows lots of practice before moving on. It's easy to follow and brightly coloured. Uses lots of techniques to teach with picture comparisons for lengths. Would purchase more from this author. *note: I got this for my 5 year old who is advanced In his years in math and he can do a lot in this book!
