About 20 years ago maybe, some friends ran a dive shop in the British Virgin Islands and we went for a 2-week visit. And these little babies were on the dive boat every day. These were the go-to snack between dives - just a little something to tide you over and if the boat rocking made you queasy (and it does, for me!) the ginger helps settle your stomach. I used to be able to get these at Cost Plus World Market but I have not seen them in a local store in a long time. So I was excited to see them on Amazon! These arrived fresh and crunchy with the texture and flavor I remember, a nice crunch, and they were not crumbled to bits during shipping. I will admit I paid more than I'd like to have paid, but, I wanted to see if they were everything I remember and yes they were, they did not disappoint. If you've never tried these you are in for a treat. And if you have tried them, they're just like you remember. Go get you some!

I've always liked these biscuits. Good, strong ginger flavor. However, packed horribly. Who ships breakable biscuits in a soft bubble envelope??? Seriously, common sense.

It's amazing
They're great. They don't taste like medicine, they taste exactly how ginger biscuits should taste, like ginger and nutmeg. They remind me of gingerbread cookies, but you can eat them all year round! McVities is a very trusted company, they even made the Queen's wedding cake! They do live up to their name. The people who do not like them might not be used to the taste of ginger in sweet things, that might be why they associate the taste with medicine. So basically if you like gingerbread cookies, you will love this.
