A twisted tale of sadistic Sorcerers and the monsters they create. In a city so dismal it's known only as "the Hole," a clan of Sorcerers has been plucking people off the streets to use as guinea pigs for atrocious "experiments" in the black arts. In a dark alley, Nikaido found Caiman, a man with a reptile head and a bad case of amnesia. To undo the spell, they're hunting and killing the Sorcerers in the Hole, hoping that eventually they'll kill the right one. But when En, the head Sorcerer, gets word of a lizard-man slaughtering his people, he sends a crew of "cleaners" into the Hole, igniting a war between two worlds. I'm definitely a fan of old school anime and manga so the Viz Signature edition floats my boat. Just dive in... Take a chance! If you enjoyed the series you definitely won't be disappointed and will want the whole set. Review: Better than the anime. - The anime is great, but due to some translation issues, and some missing details that are not the case with the manga, it is far stronger and more consistent in terms of writing and execution. I have read as far as volume 5 or 6 at this point, and aside from a few slight oddities in the translations of certain names, the manga is a far better experience all around.

After Watching on Netflix...
I decided to try the manga. Great 90's art style and there's a lot in the manga that didn't make it to the series. I'm definitely a fan of old school anime and manga so the Viz Signature edition floats my boat. Just dive in... Take a chance! If you enjoyed the series you definitely won't be disappointed and will want the whole set.

The anime is great, but due to some translation issues, and some missing details that are not the case with the manga, it is far stronger and more consistent in terms of writing and execution. I have read as far as volume 5 or 6 at this point, and aside from a few slight oddities in the translations of certain names, the manga is a far better experience all around.

It's awesome but watch out, once you pop you just can't stop.
Really, really good Manga series. It has EVERYTHING you could possible want: -Violence -Lizard head freaks -magic mushrooms (yeah no kidding) -little skull faced demon children -baseball -mystery -different dimensions All that cool stuff. Buy it nerds.

This just gets weirder and weirder and i love it. The art work starts of a little rough in my opinion,good but a very 'quick sketch' like style is how i would describe it,but then just keeps getting better. The story is completley off the wall and theres no way you predict where its going next. This is a definite recommend

My favourite TV show! Season Two finale is on Netflix now!
I love the show so much ! I had to try the books! It’s really nice you can buy them individually as the set is really expensive! The artwork is beautiful! Looking forward to reading it .
