Review: The Ultimate Answer prior to setting up a Hedge Fund - I had the opportunity to get down Frank Nagy's guide book on the subject ' The Ultimate Hedge Fund' and found it extremely useful as much as educational, as the author deals with a full gamut of legal aspects which will help anyone who is concentrating on setting up of a hedge fund. The book also covers the areas and destinations which are ideal and safe, depending on clients' choice, while guiding the reader within the framework of legal boundaries as the case may be. I am quite happy that I ordered this book through desertcart and would recommend to anyone who has any ideas of setting up of a hedge fund and has any doubts how to go about it legally and safely. For me personally, the book is a rare gem ! Dr.Tilak S. Fernando Review: Excellent book - This book was very informative. It tells you exactly what need to done in order to start your own hedge fund. I like the fact that it is written in very basic terms.

Straightforward and Informative
Frank Naggy's Hedge Fund Guide is the perfect introduction to the complicated yet exciting process of starting a Hedge Fund. The book provides an all-encompassing view of what one can/should expect to encounter when starting off in the industry as a founder: relevant laws, exemptions, strategies/investment styles, fee structures, operational procedures, capital raising guide, etc. Both an interesting and informational read, I highly recommend this resource to anyone interested in forming their own hedge fund.

Stright to the point
Incredibly insightful. This book was incredibly useful and truly helped me understand what it takes to set up a hedge fund. All of the regulatory information was condensed into a format that is super easy to read and straight to the point. I would highly recommend.

Lacks substance - After reading, you will not be able to put together an outline PPM or any other document for fund formation
This book is an average read of spliced documents that the consultant may have access to through his work with his clients over the years. The author lacks in clearly articulating the thought process, instead stuffs the book with a lot of legalese. This book has been read once and perhaps will sit on my shelf for a long time without returning to it again for any kind of reference. Moreover, there are entire paragraphs repeated in the book in different sections without any good reason for repetition. Overall, this is a below average book on fund formation.

Poorly Written, Superficial
This is the most poorly written book that I have read in years. Every page is filled with misspellings, grammatical errors and just plain bad writing. The advice is limited to the nuts and bolts of setting up a hedge fund. These are things that your lawyer will tell you about in your first meeting. Seriously, if you haven't already figured out the stuff that's in this book, you are nowhere near ready to start a hedge fund.

A highly recommend read for anyone seeking to launch a hedge fund
A highly recommend read for anyone seeking to launch a hedge fund. The book does a good job of taking an in-depth subject and breaks down the matter into an easy to comprehend read. Regardless if a given fund being formed will be macro, event driven, long/short etc. managers want to focus on trading—not getting buried with intricate "legal speak" on formation structures. I think the book does a good job of balance with regards to enough information but not overwhelming a reader with unnecessary legal jargon with regards to the various offshore/onshore legal structures.

Very light weight
“Ultimate” is not the right word for this guide. This reads like a manual put together by a lawyer. Very little useful information. Zero information on the operations of a hedge fund.

Useful but not comprehensive
By reading this book, you can expect to learn some useful information, however, It's not comprehensive and you need other information sources in order to properly have everything you need to establish a Hedge Fund.
